Star Plus adds 37 GRPs to its kitty; Just Dance gives the push


Just Dance (Saturday, 9 pm) launch episode delivered a 3.7 TVR, while the show was simulcast on STAROne (0.5 TVR) and STAR Pravah (0.5 TVR) delivering a total of 4.7 TVR on STAR Network and reaching out to 25.9 million viewers.

Riding on the buzz generated by its latest dance reality show Just Dance, Star Plus has added as many as 37 GRPs to its kitty. The channel stands at 284 GRPs for the week ended June 18, 2011. Its relative share has also moved up from 19.8 per cent in Week 24 to 22.3 per cent in Week 25.

For the record, Just Dance (Saturday, 9 pm) launch episode delivered a 3.7 TVR, while the show was simulcast on STAR One (0.5 TVR) and STAR Pravah (0.5 TVR), delivering a total of 4.7 TVR on STAR Network and reaching out to 25.9 million viewers.

Meanwhile, second-in-command, Colors has lost 9 points during the week to get 230 GRPs. The channel's relative share has also dropped from 19.2 per cent to 18.1 per cent.

At No. 3, Zee TV has increased by 20 GRPs this week and is at 228 GRPs. The push has primarily come from its weekday primetime. The channel's relative share has also improved from 16.7 per cent to 17.9 per cent.

Meanwhile, the No. 4 GEC, Sony, has witnessed a two-point fall from 163 GRPs to 161 GRPs. Its relative share has also fallen to 12.7 per cent, from 13.1 per cent in Week 24.

Sibling channel SAB, at the fifth position, has scored 138 GRPs in Week 25. Its relative channel share is 10.9 per cent for the week, down from 11.9 per cent during the previous week.

At No. 6, Imagine TV lost one point during the week to score 89 GRPs. Its relative share has also dropped from 7.2 per cent to 7 per cent. DD1, with 43 GRPs and a channel share of 3.4 per cent, follows it.

STAR One is at No. 8. The channel's relative share and GRPs have moved up marginally to 3 per cent (2.9 per cent in the previous week) and 38 GRPs (37 GRPs in the previous week), respectively.

STAR Utsav and Sahara One have garnered relative shares of 2.4 per cent and 2.2 per cent, respectively.

Pavitra Rishta (Zee TV) leads the list of the 10 most-watched programmes, clocking a TVR of 4.24, followed by Balika Vadhu (Colors) and Saathiya Saath Nibhana (Star Plus) with TVRs of 4.76 and 4.17, respectively.

The fourth most-watched programme is Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, with 3.92 TVR. Uttaran (3.82 TVR) and Just Dance (3.68 TVR) follow next. Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Ram Milayi Jodi, Yahan Mein Ghar Ghar Kheli and Na Aana Is Des Laado are also a part of the Top 10 list.

it's kind of surprising to see LTL2 not in the ratings. I thought Shabir fans were watching this show.

thanks for the alert..was waiting ...yesss,brilliant... not surprised though especially after what I read IN THE UPDATES...hey did'nt someone say that the male lead of the show had returned...sooowhat happened then????

I think it'll take sometime for the ratings to pick up. TRPs have shown that the show is in the top 10 but Tam shows a totally different picture. 😕 I don't think it'll end anytime soon. it will probably go on for another year or maybe even 2 years or 10 years.😆 If BUN can continue on without a story, so can LTL2. 😆 Public ki koi kaami nehi hai, the audience will watch the show whether it has a story or not.

Can't believe their so called channels favourite could not pull up the ratings as expected!!😆

Even his own fans are not happy with him coming as a replacement I guess!!!🤔😛

Its pure smack on their face na, cos they waited for this replacement for so long and only to get out of the top10!!😆
