Thats my biggest dilemma too. I LOVE Dutta the character, so part of my heart is very happy that the character is coming back, because LTL is NOTHING without Dutta, we all know that.
The other part of my heart is in turmoil, because I identify Dutta with MR, and I dont know if I can bring myself to watching another actor play it. The logical Project Manager in me says that I should because its a character and ideally any decent actor should be able to pull it off, but the creative lover in me denies that vehemently because of the indelible impression MR made on me with that role. Is that impression changeable? I say no. But should I give the new actor a chance? Logic says that I should, because its not his fault that he was asked to play that role, so why should he not be given a chance? At least, Dutta, the character who I love will get a voice as opposed to be being drowned into oblivion.

Actually I am fine with a replacement. Colors wont end this show easily. It then better be Tasha's story in SOME form. I am not going to watch it. But knowing that LTL2 is a Tasha story will give me some peace. Much better than some random chap taking Dutta's place in everyone's life.

I understand what you are saying, Harshita...in a sense I agree that it's good to atleast see Dutta back...and Nakku can go back to DUTTA the character in some form atleast instead of clinging madly to a DOLL in such a stupid manner...but then for me, the show's draw was MR as Dutta...another Dutta could never make me watch the show with THAT kind of awe...Now LCL has gotten crappy beyond imagination and maybe Shabbir's entry would reduce the crap level to a small extent (although with PS's creativity you can never tell), but this show has totally lost what MADE it...the glory, the essence is gone...you watch one scene of the show pre March 28th and you can clearly see the difference from that and what is now with the basti and Diggu raja nonsense going on...at best, Shabbir can make this show a tolerable timepass...since right now it is unbearable even to READ what's happening in the show...

Coming to who can play Dutta apart from Mishal? According to Colors anything with a stubble can play Dutta...a doll can too...maybe a woman too can with a fake stubble.

LOL, maybe the doll will come alive as Dutta - with some Harry Potter magic...like PS says, anything and anybody is replaceable, how about throwing some supernatural 😆?
