I think that they could get Harshad from Tere Liye to play Dutta at least he is better looking and better actor then that guy that is going to be playing that role.

I cannot believe that this show single handly missed up a perfectly good show by driving away the main lead hero and then making the lead girl go crazy and loose her memory, to change the lead hero with another guy who is not good actor at all and another one who will make an ugly pair with Naku.

Although it would be great to see Harshad Chopra on screen again, i think he lacks the tough persona that the character of Dutta Bhao possesses.
Harshad is super eye candy though, 😉

I personally think Dutta is made by the CHARACTER that he was.. Not the actor that could portray him better.. MR became the face of that character for me and now it's hard for me to put any other face to identify that character. *shrugs* So while I'm glad that there may be actors who can seemingly perform "better" than MR the role of Dutta, I really do not think I have it in me to differenciate between MR's face/mannerism and Dutta's character. To me they're one because they have been one since the first day.

I love Dutta as a character - and I love MR as a person.. But I love MR's portrayal of Dutta the best because THAT was Dutta to me. Acha, bura ya not-as-good-as-the-next-guy.. whatever it was the fact still remains k THAT was Dutta to me. *shrugs*

WORD👏

If it's only eye candy that matters, there's plenty on TV playing wohi 2-3 type ke characters...Harshad has gotten very repetitive in his roles too.

MR as Dutta was a rare combination of absolute perfection...anything else will always just be a mere shadow if even that of an original that is forever imprinted in our minds.

Now "good looking" ppl can try and take up the role of Dutta...but it won't work...MR absorbed the character in such a manner that there is nothing left for anyone else to step into😊

Kasam sey yaar.. There really, truely is NOTHING left to step into. I mean I'm happy for people who can enjoy Shabbir as Dutta or any other actor as Dutta from here on out.. And I will even venture as far as to say that MAYBE these actors can do a pretty good job at their portrayal of Dutta too - enough to make their fans enjoy it.. And that's great really, for their fans and for people who continue to watch LTL. But for me, the show's ended. And THAT makes me sad more than anything. It didn't just end because of MR's exit.. It ended because the CHARACTER were butchered too.. The way Dutta was shown to "exit", the way Nakku was shown to react, the way Baji and everyone at the PN was shown NOT to react.. Just everything ended this show for me.
So while they can bring in other actors to replace MR as Dutta, I think the Dutta I fell in love with.. The character I adored, the mannerisms that left me in awe.. Those are gone forever.. Woh Dutta hi nahi raha jo mujhey pasand tha toh phir koi bhi actor aa k kuch bhi perform kar ley, kya farak parhta hai..? *shrugs*
