In Laagi Tujhse Lagan, Dutta has gone missing, and new characters will be brought in. Does it upset your rhythm on the set, with the character or is variety spice of serial? A new storyline is planned ahead and it is very interesting. I will miss Mishal on the set and in the show. It was a great working experience with him and even the audiences loved our pairing. The show has been doing well and I know in the future too the audiences will enjoy of Laagi Tujhse Lagan. |
How was Mishal as a co star? He is a good competent actor as we all know and on the sets too was friendly with everyone. We all used to have lunch together so sure I will miss that. He would bring prawn curry for me which I love- I will miss that. [laughs]. But seriously he made a mark as Datta and the audiences loved him a lot.

What do you think about people who are obsessed with fair skin? Perhaps white skin is attractive, looks good and is perceived as beautiful. Or maybe we are conditioned from childhood that white is pretty.
How do you look back on the Jhalak experience? It was tough, really tough and very entertaining not only for me but for the audiences as well. I enjoyed myself in that grueling schedule. I learnt a lot about dance and its numerous forms. Jhalak helped me increase my fan following immensely. That is one thing I thank Jhalak for. It also presented my real self to the audiences. Handling a daily soap and a reality show was dramatic and fun. |
Do you feel like a dancer now? Yes- now I do. I learnt so much about dance which I never knew existed. I planned to continue my dance classes but doing a daily soap I hardly get time to learn dance. Maybe sometime in the future. |
Which for you was your best performance and toughest? Every dance was tough for me as I had to work really hard. I loved doing all dances but learning two acts in one week was a difficult task. I loved my emotional performance in Dil Mile Bina Hi. I thought it was the best I did- dance wise, emotion wise. |
It is your birthday on 1st April. What are your plans? I don't have any plans yet. I expect Jay [Bhanushali] to give me a surprise though he is bad at romantic surprises. But he is learning. So I am expecting something fun and cool. |
