Kala the Great

shashi..... Kala is indeed a wickedly powerful antagonist in the story of LTL..... to me she is a strong reminder of the existence of evil principalities in this world that are very resilient in nature and hard to exterminate from this world completly.... they remain in place, along side the eternal forces of good....people like Kala exist in our lives so we can see the of balance of good and evil in our lives, and if we are created with a discerning brain then we are expected to make choices in our lives ..some right ,some wrong ; but in order to make the right choice we have to be exposed to both good and evil........ Also evil is very beautiful and attractive in form, only then it can entrap those who are vulnerable in some form, but not those who like Nakku are strong when they are weak, where weakness creates inner strength when triggered by belief in the eternal truth and goodness...... Also shashi, Kala has been scarred for life because she witnessed at the age of eight the horrible spectacle of her father's death following a heated argument between her father and his brother,her uncle over this infant called Dutta.. She needed more attention and TLC from her mother who, instead was doting on the infant Dutta and the years flew back and the gap between her aye and her widened ,without her Aye even noticing it sadly.... and also Kala's hatred towards the boy now man Dutta deepened and deepened....... I think Kala is the next tragic character in LTL after the before Dutta!!
