Hi Kavita,

perfectly written analysis, you are an expert in this. Seema has erned a place in D's heart. She chose to help D & N get away. She created +ve Karma to get forgiveness from God, she washed away her sins by saving D, helping Naku, a compelete stranger that was a selfless act.

Hi Minakshi,

I do realise that the confusion of many members about Seema even after yesterday's selfless act could very well be justified but why is it so hard to believe that every human being at some point in their lives, stumble on hard times, some not even getting a chance to get out alive. But those who do manage to brave the odds do discover in what is a very painful process that hardships do touch our lives and create new dynamics that force us to re-evaluate our ability to practice the concept of the hidden gifts of helping. As Zuby pointed out in her post, Seema's actions ever since she came back have not been random acts of kindness reserved only for Dutta. We did not get to have much insight in her journey from Seema to Chanda apart from the cataclysmic events that changed the young Dutta's life forever ten years back so it is difficult to extrapolate on how she would have developed the altruistic streak that she revealed to all in the way she helped Nakusha, Dutta and others that we did not get to see. Even her demeanour, when she addressed the old Chacha or people at random seemed genuine, so why is it so difficult to believe in her now. Seema must have matured and realised that after what she has gone through, she could be anywhere, so long as she helps and cares for others and hence bring some form of stability in her life and not have to depend on a third party to be finally at peace. CVs would do well to keep in mind that constantly spewing negativity could in the end be harmful for the show. The only issue is the exit/retention strategy when it comes to Seema. I, personally, want to see the character phased out.

Dear Kavita,
Read the post once more now that my head is much more clearer since morning after a good sleep. I would have been very dissappointed if the CVs had shown Seema turning negetive...it would have been very filmy or lets say predictable...she is sorry and she really meant it...a woman who lived her life through selling her body, chose to save her once upon time boy friend by putting the source of her bread and butter at stake. Yes she she meant every bit of it...she is sorry. In your last post I did mention I would have loved to see Dutta and Seema in a neutral ground but now it looks like Seema will killed for the sake of her love, to tell you the truth I will be very disappointed. You do know my apathy for the actress playing Seema but now I would like to see how Nakusha accepts Seema in Dutta's life....Oh yes, she is like typical mahaan devi, ever forgiving but then I do not want to see that for sure...let Nakusha turn more humane, with whom as a woman I can connect 😉 Love Tin

I agree Kavita....for the first time in her life Seema has really done something for Dutta and Dutta alone. She knew she would be as good as dead with no hopes of ever getting Dutta back in her life even if she lived to tell the tale. She has surely earned her forgiveness. She has done something which Naku would have done.
Hi Kshreya,
I am not too sure as to the reasons that triggered the changes in Seema in the first place apart from the fact that she had developed an aversion to the constant pawing and mauling by strangers which led to her quest for some form of physical and emotional cleansing. Surely, she was not expecting to see Dutta when she first chanced on him on her way to the Gaon Devi Temple where she also met Nakusha. She had, apparently, been doing an annual pilgrimage to pray for forgiveness.
It is quite normal that anyone who would have gone through lots of harships, starts having visions of God's divine intervention when coincidence springs unsuspecting surprises on them. Finding an injured Dutta in her house was one such coincidence and it was quite logical that she would have interpreted it as a sign from Gods that she could pray for real happiness and forgiveness now from the very person she first harmed.
As to what would have gone in her mind before deciding to intervene in order to facilitate Dutta's and Nakusha's escape, we will have to wait for today's telecast. She has for sure earned her forgiveness and the majority on the forum agree hopefully, lest CVs were to spring on us another Hornet's nest soon.

Hi Jayati,
Glad to hear that you are feeling better. Yes, it will be a big setback in the story's flow if CVs were yet to tinker and taint Seema's character now and better for her to be killed off as suggested by Zuby as well rather than another constipated revenge track. I have had enough of so much negativity. I am conscious that the whole concept of LTL at its premise does not leave much room for CVs to show a happy family. That is due to the dangers and the strong undercurrents that should normally be marring the family lives of any criminal dynasty/family in the world but could not they come up with a track where we see another take on Dutta trying to reform as a more responsible citizen as opposed to his constant foray in the criminal world. That would be an interesting twist with Mahaan Nakusha on his side. As to the latter possibly allowing Seema to gain some form of respectabilty by way of a public and personal acknowlegement in her contribution to Dutta's wellbeing and her act of saving their lives, that would be interesting. The one thing that I dont want to see is a repeat of one those cliched tracks of the Jeetendra starrers of yore with Sridevi and Jayapradha. This is one of the elements I would like to trust CVs never even treading those grounds.
Another possibility, should Seema not be killed it would be nice to see Dutta setting up a foundation of some sort with Seema at the helm helping women who would have fallen off the rails or abused being rehabilitated. That would equate to giving Seema the respectability she has been shown craving for. Your take please.
Cheers,
Kavita

Thank you Manju.
I will definitely have to leave blanks to be filled by fellow members now, otherwise it will become boring. I do want all to be able to add their take as well. As to her chances of survival, I have to agree with a very heavy heart that should we want to see her remaining positive, she better be killed off.
At least we will remember the reformed Seema to the hilt.
