Shreya, I agree. I feel like it was poor directing and poor editing. I'm a bit disappointed on that front. I don't feel that Mishal got the chance to play out his reaction to Kala's revelation, or maybe he did but the editing team cut the scenes awkwardly, removing some of his close-up reactions.

Even the Tasha hug had been edited. At one point, you see a flash of D putting his head down on Naku's shoulder. It was cut. The fighting was edited oddly, adding slowmotion rather than speed.
DN were quite expressive, perhaps because they were in a deadly situation and fear was on call. But... still... surprisingly expressive... it was a bit overload for me at one point when she ran her hands over his face...
Only thing, Mishal and Mahi's acting were brilliant. Top class. I loved their performances and it's what carried the whole episode.

I agree...top notch acting....good writing too...but spoilt by patchy editing and bad direction. Even I noticed at one point Dutta's head was on Naku's shoulder with Mishal bending down in a long shot...but in the closeup MV was almost at MR's eye level...as if she was standing on a stool.

I know that we all want to be positive about LTL now that things are picking up pace. But these bloopers really irk me, because they tend to ruin a moment through distraction. Especially when there are moments that should focus on characters and their expressions. Also, there's a time to add slowmotion and a time to add speed. Mishal was so brilliant while fighting, but the editing was so bad.

I don't mind their milan being amidst a crowd of staring faces. But for the first three minutes, they could've focused on Tasha's emotions, and then as Naku broke the hug, they could've focused back on Kala and her minions. Then they should've focused on D's reaction to Kala's revelation.

1) He's overjoyed to know his Tai is there
2) He's shocked at what Naku tells him about her
3) He connects the dots
4) Pain at the realization and FB of his sister
5) More pain as Kala mocks him and the question: Why?
6) Fury at her response and threats
7) He shuts down, because they're in danger and survival is priority #1
I think that they jumped over a lot of those points, putting together reactions and scenes however they wanted... forgetting Kala and D's relationship... and how much respect he had for her... and what it must mean to him to realize that it was all a big fat lie...

Actually all that was there...all the 7 points. But they didnt focus on it. They were busy showing Kala's standard expressions and Suds chimp smile

Exactly. But that comes down to the same thing. It wasn't there, because they were busy focusing on other things.
But, I wonder, how hard can it be to edit fighting sequences when they've done it so many times before? Why add slowmotion to scenes that are supposed to give you a rush?

The editing has been really bad in the past 2 epis. They tried to create high drama with too many characters and too many things happenning at the same time. But made a hodge podge of everything. Also I guess the actors didnt shoot at the same time...they shot seperately and hence the light seemed different at different times. But I could have forgiven all this if they wouldnt have interrupted the intense Tasha moments with Kala's face.

There were four moments in this entire episode that gripped me and felt perfect:
Moment #1: D asking Naku to repeat "saab" and his expression as she does so.
Moment #2: Kala saying the lines about him going to Hell to his father and ask him and Suds interjecting the question about how he's going to find Damudar in Hell, and D's angry reaction to him saying that Naku can go with him.
Moment #3: Seema snapping out of it and pointing her gun as Suds while telling him that she'll unload the whole pistol in his brain if he doesn't drop his gun.
Moment #4: D asking Naku to be his eyes.
In addition to that, Mishal did an awesome job when he fought. The only reason I felt anything resembling a rush was because of his graceful movements and powerful performance - the camera angles and editing itself was crap.

Word! And I feel like complaining to someone who will prevent these mistakes in the future... I've only got my hopes set on the jungle track... they better not ruin it with their bad editing. I want my Tasha track to be as awesome as the last jungle track.
Also: I can't believe they spent two whole minutes on showing Kala, Chaskar, and Suds walking while Tasha were hugging...

@Ana: Now even I have my hopes pinned on JMM2 for some PROPER Tasha moments and Dutta's introspection. Fingers crossed that they wont focus on Kala distributing apple pieces. *Sends positive vibes*
