Remember the time when Nakku rejected Dutta's proposal and Roops n Leela were sad to see him actually sad. They said they didn't like seeing him this heartbroken and thought they may have crossed the line a bit.
I think Leela has reiterated many times that only Kala hates Dutta very much unlike them.
I also think Roops n Leela wouldn't go to the extent of killing him of followed thru with Kala's plan this time around.

i think al tht concern was fake...they may nt h8 him to the extent tht kala does n thus wnt wnt him dead bt they do hate him n dnt care abt his happiness...see hw happy they wer wen naku was being accused during suresh track... they wer smiling evily ...if they reali cared abt dutta they wud hav seen hw unhappy he is without naku... i mean roops evn once sed tht "bhagwan kare in duno ki beech ki yeh dooriyan kabhi kam na hoon" if she reali cared abt his happiness she wudnt hav sed tht... both leela n roops like seein dutta unhappy n tortured... bt mayb nt dead!
