I had read thish book in college. I am an ardent romance fiction fan, so I read anything that has a touching heart wrenching romance in it.
The name of this book is 'ONCE A PRINCESS', it's written by Johanna Lindsey.The speaciallity of this book is that the plot has a uncanny resemblance to our Tasha story.
It's the story of a lost princess of European kingdom, who is brought up by an innkeeper in America. She is a ravishing beauty but to survive in the bawdy world in which she lives with her virtue intact, she makes herself look so utterly revolting and ugly that no one notices her. But she loves to dance and had some training in erotic belle dancing. Her adoptive dad is greedy and he makes her dance for money and crowd pulling. So she dawns a veil and dances sensuously, beautifully but runs away before anyone can catch her. And thus she becomes famous for that intrigue.
While in the European kingdom, the present prince is as hard as granite like man who has a scarred soul and face. This face has made him weary of pretty faces, which he feels only bear his touch because of what he is and not because of the man he is. He believes that no beautiful woman can ever love him. He has a lion's courage and temper. He is vowed he'll never fall in love with a beautiful girl. He is a g people great ruler and his subject adores him.
But then the council dictates that the price was betrothed to the lost princess at her birth. So since both are of age now the prince must try to find out about her,if she is alive or not. Also they give him information of where she was last seen before her disappearance. If she is alive then prince must marry her. So the prince and his best friend set out to find the princess in America.
By following trail the reach that inn. As they wait to meet the person who'll tell them about the pricess, they watch a erotic dance by a veiled lady. They are mesmerized. Only the price recognizes the dancer when she comes without her veil in a shabby dress. She is the ugliest maiden he has ever seen, but he is pulled by some force to her.
Then they find that this ugly savage, uncivilized girl is the princess and the prince forcibly takes her to his land. A adventure follows also the assassins who had killed the princess' family are back on their trail. The prince falls in love with the ugly princess while the princess sees the handsome and kind man behind the ravaged, scared and hard exterior of the prince. Their love has intense passion and understanding of one another's pain. But when the true face of princess is revealed the prince distances himself from her thinking that she cheated him and he doesn't deserve her.
Guyz it's a beautiful love story which touches and enthralls you with lots of besharam love scenes. There are cute dialogues between two very headstrong lovers. I have the ebook version but I don't know how to share it with you guyz on this forum. Is there away to upload ebooks of pdf format or a lit file? Plz tell.
