Interesting. this director must be a genius to show such characters and be able to convey how one can strike a cord without any kind of identity. I can clearly see that the movie is very interesting to watch without watching it and so no wonder u sound to have really enjoyed watching it.
btw do Marathi movies have different concepts or r they like hindi movies? all dancing and singing and no real story? that's how I identify hindi movies to be. 😆
Yes, this director Satish Rajwade is a genius. Earlier also he has directed a movie with a unique concept which went ahead to be an award winning movie. That movie was proposed to be made in Hindi but considering the fact that it might not work they made it in Marathi. And it was a big success. Also, its not only director, both Mukta Barve and Swapnil Joshi have done an awesome job as the Mumbai girl and Pune boy respectively. The funny thing is that Swapnil is basically a Mumbai boy and Mukta is a Pune girl in reality. 😆
These days Marathi movies are going through renaissance. They are touching various aspects of life and using different concepts. Its not like Hindi movies. There are songs but not typical dancing, romancing kind. Last year's Indian Oscar's entry was a marathi movie, that was biography of Dadasaheb Phalke, father of Indian cinema. The movie was "Harishchandrachi Factory", which means "Factory of Harishchandra". But unfortunately because of lack of proper promotion it ended up No. 6 in the best international film category.
