My heart goes out to Dutta. *sigh*
There's this hint of vulnerability about him. I've always found him too good to be a hard-hearted don. Uska gussa ho ya pyaar dono me ek sacchai hai. Child-man. 😊He says ki he likes Naku coz woh duniyadaar nahi hai, but he's seen so much of the world and yet doesn't realize that his enemies are closer home. Well, inside his home. When they started focusing on Dutta's track, I was wondering who the serial belonged to, Naku or Dutta? Not that I'm complaining. I'm happy with Naku being Dutta's love, and his dil ki dhadkan. I admit, I found it real funny at first, the fact that ppl are scared of telling him the truth because uska dil toot jaega. W*H man, the guy's a don! Give him some credit. But yes, now I am convinced. He might fool everyone with his badass attitude, but deep inside there's this child, who never got a chance. He had to give up his childhood and innocence to become the man of the house, and later to forget Seema's betrayal.I'd always heard that men are emotional weaklings. It is true. Dutta can protect Naku, be her savior...no doubt about it...but Naku's gonna be the one who saves him and protects him from drowning himself in that well of despair. And I kind of like the way this love story's shaping up. Slow and sweet. They're not falling in love by looking at each other, they're doing it by being there for each other. Completing each other. In every sense. Isn't this the kind of love that really lasts? There's this quote from Captain Corelli's Mandolin that kind of explains it:Love is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion. That is just being in love which any of us can convince ourselves we are. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Your mother and I had it, we had roots that grew towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossom had fallen from our branches we found that we were one tree and not two.
