naku's dilemma...

I'm done with Babi bashing so onto naku.....

Completely agree with you sunshine!!!
My problem is the same...the characters need to be defined well...you just cant change the basic values.....Naku was a truthful, honest person who loved Dutta...She even did give him signals like stealing his photo and even told him that she loves him...Dutta was a character who loved honest, good at heart people....Also even if she did reject Dutta I think she needs to give him the reason....you cant do that to some one....you give all the signals and then back off....acting very saintly since you are hiding something...What? Does she plan to live with that color all her life?
This is what happens with these soaps....characters dont stay true to their initial characterization....

As far as Dutta is concerned...he saw love in Naku's eyes.....when he found her in his room....it was she who back tracked due to Kala's words....

I am just too angry ....what are these characters! .quite confusing!!

Interesting argument DD except that Naku is already committed to Dutta. They are still legally married and the second marriage is a mere formality to restore her respect and dignity.

Even if we keep aside the legality of their relationship, she quite profoundly stated when they were on about to plunge to their deaths at the cliff that it was her decision to stay with him even in death.

She has admitted and shown her deep love and devotion to him on many occasions and fought Kala to remain in PN in his absence. She had sworn not to leave until it was Dutta's decision.

There are many more examples but the fact is that if all of her actions prior to this new rather fickle hesitation, cannot be construed as commitment than what is.

She is rationalising her behaviour by using the same absurd excuse she used for not telling him about Supriya. She is in major denial mode and I feel like Babi's influence has shown its colours. Babi after all taught her that white lies were justified in the name of preserving your izzat. All those years of hiding her under her dark veil has now made it difficult for Naku to shed as its her comfort zone/identity. She is disconnected from her own face!

There is a difference between faith and commitment...I can love someone and have all faith in him but I need not commit myself....Love has no boundaries...Faith comes from experiences with that person, but commitement requires that I keep other constraints in mind....

so, Naku loves Dutta without any boundaries - True...She has immense faith in him for the man he is....True.....but is it compulsory that she shld commit herself to him just because he loves him or has faith in him....commitement requires her to see her constraints.....she is beautiful and dutta has been very vocal about how he is done with beauties.....so, she wuld be apprehensive tht he wuld go back to the same route from which she brought him back...thats natural...and hence, althought she loves him and there culd be nothing better than spending her whole life with him, she has to let him go!!.....and that is also for love!

so, I think her reaction was very reasonable!

Reactions, be they reasonable or not, have consequences...even very bad ones for others. Naku's reaction may be understandable, but I'm pissed off at her. I've said this before: this sherni is in many ways in name only, and the last few weeks have bore this out. She can talk a good game, be outspoken with others, but when it comes to herself, she is irresponsible at times, and downright infuriating. The truth shall set you free, haven't you heard Naku? Not running away like a little chua.

As I have said before, what Naku shld do is, (which she shld have done a little while back) was go to him, show him her real face, tell him facts ...give him examples on why it was essential for her to do what she did ...or what her Aayi did...and then leave the decision to him.....This is the truth and I cannot run away from it.....so, now the decision is in your hands....

so, yes, her not revealing her face before led to Dutta's heartbreak today but I am sure she wuld fix it and things wuld be hunky dory next week!!....but her running away was justified because unforunately she had not told him the truth!!!!

Hey DD! Her running away is justified to a third-party looking at it from outside. It was just plain wrong for what she did to Dutta. She HAD THE POWER IN HER HANDS to reveal her face, the truth. She chose not to. And, saddest of all, she thought that her running away would not hurt Dutta as much as her secret about her face. This girl does not understand Dutta at all sometimes. They've got some ways to go, both the CVs and Dutta and Naku. This little scene today will probably make things stronger then.
