I think .. when Kala said that she is fasting, immediately he realised that Nakku must also be fasting, as she is a very traditional girl. So our gaddha must have immediately thought of him fasting also ... ofcourse this was not planned from before .. and as always Baaji understood his gesture and interpreted it right, this is what I think.

I don't think he was hurt. I think he was probably cursing himself for making her uncomfortable again.

What did I do wrong, now? seemed to be his question to himself. Not hurt that she did not accept.

After that nice Lecture by Baji Rao, on Haalaat ki Dooriyan, Dutta must have realised it was once again the wrong move.

i find tht hard 2 believe tho aisha...remember hw crazy dutta wud gt wen buying stuf for seema... i remember in feb wer naku tld him abt buying chooriyan for supriya he acted like he dunt knw hw 2 buy gifts etc but weneva u c the flashbacks of seema, u see he used 2 buy her bangles, chains n what not...

When he said he does not know how to buy gifts, he is trying to deny whatever happened in the past.

A friend of mine hates to cook for himself and anyone. He said he can't cook at all. One day he made some risotto, which was great.

Then we got to know that, there was a time when he would enthusiastically cook and surprise his girlfriend. She was unkind, like Seema, dismissed his efforts and said it was silly.

He was so hurt that he stopped cooking, and kept telling everyone he did not know how to cook.

That girl he loved died in a car accident, after she broke up with him. So, maybe he wanted to erase the memory of her by erasing from his mind, one thing that reminded him of her - his enthusiastic cooking.

Cooking that Risotto for us, turned out to be therapeutic for him.

I can understand Dutta
