The CV's had a reason for showing Anna and Subbu playing chess in one of the prior episodes. Even her conversation with Anna now makes sense. If you all remember she had said to Anna that you focus and get happiness from the little wins and forget the big picture. She won the battle then and won the battle today. A very strong women.
