*giggles nervously*
So guess who's here... I haven't read your new update yet because I hadn't commented on the update on p.21 yet.
*takes a deep breath*
I am going to do this! I am going to reply to the FFs (as many as I can) tonight..
There were really only two main things that stood out to me I think - from what I remember at least. So I'm going to go ahead and talk about those..
I don't know if this was intentional on your part, but I feel that every time Dutta's moved by something Nakku says to him, it's mainly because of the fact that SHE'S the one saying it to him and not really because of what she says to him. I mean, I do know that her words are quite wise and hard hitting, but the main reason they disturb Dutta and force him to reconsider his stance is because of the fact that Nakku expected his behavior/opinion/practices to be different than what they currently are. When she tells him no one drinks at home, it wasn't the fact that no one drank at home that disturbed him but the fact that SHE told him that no one drank at home. When she wouldn't let him apologize, if it were anyone else Dutta would have just shrugged it off as their loss and walked off. But with Nakku even that irked his conscience. And now when Nakku called him on his rudeness with Aayi Sahib, all of a sudden he was forced to put a mirror to his behavior and really analyze it. I am sure there have been people through out his life that looked down upon his interactions with his mother - yet so far he's been staunch in his stance to ignore everything and hate her unconditionally. But ONE statement from Nakku and he threw his own rules to the wind and started reevaluating his behavior. *sigh* I LOVE that. I love how you've been able to differentiate his change of heart from the "wisdom of the words" to the "expectations from Nakku". I love it! Of course I don't know if it was intentional, but I still love it... 😆
Oh and I know this is a small thing, but I loved Dutta's silent/simple "Thank you" as he walked past her. He didn't need to look at her to show her how much he meant it. It wasn't selfish or writhed with self importance. It wasn't even an "embarrassed" comment. It was just a statement - he was man enough to admit when she'd helped him out and he did so without any reservations of his own or affirmation from Nakku. I loved that!
LOL!!! Dutta dislikes Sundar? And Sundar has a "feminine side" to his character?! Excuse me while I die laughing! Bwawaahahahahahahahahahha! 🤣
And I know I've said it before, but I want to say it again - I LOVE Nakku-Dutta's private conversations that happen in front of EVERYONE! One glance, one gesture and that's all they need to communicate.. I love that! They started off with being awkward around their ability to read each other but now they seem a lot more comfortable with that thought. In fact even though they aren't "buddies" in public, they are definitely sharing a sense of companionship - like they have a common aspect of their life or approach that no one else but they can understand. And I find that very appealing.. 😃
*sigh* I know it isn't long but in the sleep-induced state that I'm in, itna hi yaad aya.. I am going to read this new update from today within this week and then reply to it too.. 😆
