So far though Datta is a don as per Baji he has always remained within the boundaries of what's justified. but with his behavior with naku the previous night he crossed that boundary and targeted an innocent without any justification except that she forgot her status in the house. that was unforgivable in baji's and datta's eyes. naku's shrinking away from him simply made it worse for him. thats why datta is going all out to make amends...he wants her to UNDERSTAND his pain...to understand its not so easy for him to forget the past and move on.
i hope naku doesnt start advising him again...rather i hope she comforts him(with a hug😉)...and if she doesnt shrink away from him that will restore their status quo in his eyes. btw i dont agree with datta that he has completely killed his old self. he's changed a lot...the smile, innocence and dreams are gone...but rest of him is still intact. i dont think the innocence will ever come back...but hopefully the smiles and dreams will return.
