Fivr, I'd like to start off by thanking you from the bottom of my dil for doing this post so well. You put our thougts into words so articulately and humorously that I have to give it up for you :) great job!!
I'm humbled - Thank you! ๐
Now my thoughts: I completely agree with you that naku was not really scared (she's never scared of him. Always for him. ) she was very very hurt and depressed by his outburst. In her heart she probably knew he needed to vent and gave him a reason knowingly. She probably did this on purpose so tht he would get it all out but did not expect him to go so far or get physical (if they ever do get physical in the future it should be out of love not drunken anger hehe *blushes*). Thts what I thinkbut I might be wrong.I think you just sent me off on a little "blushing-spree" with that comment! ๐Also when he was yelling at her ehsaan-jataofyingly I was like excuse me but she has saved your life more times than you have!! Yeh bhool Gaya ? I wad just angry at him. And when he said Teri aukat Kya hai I was scandalized. Don't be bringing up her status buddy because last time I checked you were a mobster! But anyway since he was drunk and only a fictional character I'll let it go.Everyone has this tendency to let a little power go to their head - it's only natural. When Dutta's sober he's able to think logically and act like he knows he should. But when he was drunk, he put his guard down and the "evil" crept up on him. But you're right, had he really looked at himself before pointing fingers he'd know better. Since he was drunk though, he couldn't think straight - extreme anger and being drunk are a recipe for disaster.
My absolute fave thing was when baaji goes towards naku worriedly and she stops him with her hand almost like "don't make him angrier". Also it seemed like a "this is between him and me" kind of gesture. Tum beech mein mat bolo.I saw how she didn't want to make Dutta angrier with that gesture, but I am not sure I saw the "it's between me and him" thing. To me she looked like she understood Baji's care, but she wanted it focused on Dutta and not her. It wasn't a "stay out of it" gesture - it seemed like "I'm not important - tend to his needs first" gesture. Like her pain shouldn't be given that much merit - if it could make Dutta angrier or hurt him, she'd much rather prefer Baji to ignore it.
Can I say that roop made me kinda pissed today?? What kind of person smiles whenthey see someone bleeding? Roop better decide what side she's on quickly.
My absolute fave line from today was kyun roothi biwi ki Tarah peeche chal raha hai? Lolol. I literally rewinded and watched it again to make sure I'd heard correctly. Nice one, dialogue peeps! I love how baaji can make dutta feel guilty and treat him for being callous. He needed a telling. And I agree fivr, that dutta was almost in disbelief tht he'd hit naku. Awwwwwww!! Such concern! But only when he's sober.... I'm looking forward to tomorrow when dutta confides in naku and tells him abt his past. It's almost ironic how both dutta and naku lead two lives at one time. Both have their demons and their pain. Maybe thts why they find solace in each other.

thanks again for ur detailed post but i missed out on dutta getting angry on nakku and i regret it completely๐ญand yes i strongly believe roops is also negative wonder hw would kala now handle nakkus love story .
i also liked duttas the way dutta woke up and the interaction between him and bajji was just too good. and a request to the producers add some clothes to duttas wardrobe it practically empty.Preferably suits, sherwanis and some more pathanis! ๐if in the 1st half dutta was brilliant and then in the last part bajji stole the show away he was brilliant , guess he will play cupid between dutta and nakkuDefinitely agree! Baji was phenomenal! ๐again have a nice sleep and before i for get bajji par deal final karte hain๐๐ผLol, I'm glad that was worked out! ๐

I am sleep deprived too...so some quick points right now:
-The first scene when the lion pounces on naku and mauls her heart i felt that naku was simply incapable of stopping herself from going too far. it was as if she was helpless. when he snapped i think initially she was ok...taken aback but ok. but when he started speaking of her status as well as all the ahsaan thats when he broke her heart to pieces. becuz whatever aai had been telling her proved true - that to datta she is a servant and whatever he did for them was pity. period. but despite all that she didnt let baji point out to datta that he'd physcally hurt her so badly that she bled. even then she cared for him more than she cared for herself.Agree! ๐i also like it how naku smiles whenever someone like rups is making fun of her...she smiled thru her intense pain.Yeah, like it doesn't matter what they think or how they degrade her. Their opinions really don't matter to her. To me, her smile always says "I'm glad I could amuse you, but I hope you know you don't make a difference to me". She could do "more" to make them laugh, if it makes them happy because other than that the interaction hold nothing for HER - it's like what they do and how they act only affects THEM (makes them happy or disgusted), but to her it makes no difference.
-I neednt say how amazing Mishal was in the scene. so much so he hogged the whole scene...it took me several rewinds to see naku's expressions...i simply couldnt concentrate on anything apart from mishal/datta. not becuz he's hot...but he was simply mind blowing.Lol, I know! I got Nakku's expressions in the 5th viewing. ๐
-the mother-daughter scene...i just love this pair...i really do. i love the fact that naku confides in babi. mothers are often a daughter's best friend after she reaches a certain age. im glad they are showing that in this show. babi didnt need to be told what happened.Agree!
-the trio are the first ones to know abt naku's feelings for their bhao. but somehow i feel that only person who might be at a loss for this is naku herself. the trio are super confident that bhao will never look at naku...just want them to be proved wrong.
-baji-datta in the morning...fivr is right...the whole scene looked like a husband-wife roothna manana scene to me. in fact the scene could have similarly played out between datta and naku. datta even held baji's arm...and i was like haath chod...woh naku nahin hain. but then datta prefers non verbal communication.
-loved the way mishal changes his body language...when datta wakes up he looks dheela...not his usual self. but once he's fresh he's back to being the brisk and alert datta. btw first time datta got down the stairs without his hands at the back and his royal walk.I think it was because he was "thrown off" by Baji's behavior. Something wasn't right between them, he felt - so he wasn't acting like he normally would either.
-coming to what baji had to say...i love the fact that baji knows datta so well...and he can actually take datta to task for any wrong doing. I loved his dialouge on why ppl respect datta and are ready to give their lives for datta. he was bang on...datta has proven his fierce loyalty and protectiveness to people under his protection.Agreed! ๐
-btw i also felt that whatever happened with naku...baji was not only feeling bad for naku...but somewhere he was disappointed with datta. datta is his idol and by his behavior the previous night he fell off the pedestal.Yeah! To me it looked like he was torn between two of his good friends, one who was wronged and one who had wronged. One whp'd concerned him and one who'd disappointed him. And how he managed to get both those emotions across equally when he confronted Dutta was amazing! It wasn't like one emotion (concern for Nakku or disappointment with Dutta) overshadowed the other. They were both there in equals parts - like he was trying to say "I am concerned for Nakku, but THIS anger is because you've disappointment me too!". It wasn't just for Nakku's defense that Baji had stood up, it was a "Tsk-tsk" for Dutta's behavior too.
You are just amazing in ur analysis of these episodes...specially with yesterdays...
Thank you! I am glad it came out legible because I was totally sleep deprived. ๐I really liked Dutta's reactions to Baji's revelations of the previous night....He knew that what he did to Naku was so unforgiveable for him....something that he would never do and ended up doing...his regret was so evident on his face..That Baji was just so superb....he kept repeating the 'aap' to Dutta for him to realize how bugged he is with him...and the message went thru loud & clear.Agree, agree, agree!!! ๐

I must agree...mishal's acting was spot on in march 3rd epsidoe...he played the livid dutta so perfectly!! the anger & the screaming looked so genuine. Somtimes, actors get carried away and over-act a bit while enacting such scenes...but mishal was simply perfect in that particular scene. His expessions, actions, screaming & gestures were so apt with the character of dutta. ( he definitely deserves a round of applause for the performance of this scene).Mishal took the limelight away from all of the actors in march 3rd episode. I believe it is his best performance till date.
Absolute agree with you! There was no over-acting involved and there was nothing lacking in his expressions or voice pitch. Just perfect, like you said! ๐Also, i loved the way dutta says to naku, " bakbak, bakbak, bakbak, bakbak" ( as in yak yak yak )" that line was delivered so perfectly with spot on expressions & gestures...( i must say...i watched this scene soooo many times b/c it was so good)BTW...coming back to naku's humiliation...although, it was harsh but sort of well-deserved as well...see, naku crossed her line when she put her hand on the glass while dutta was about to sip...i was so taken back this gesture of naku and i was like," omg, she shoudn't have done this...she is in no position to act this way...she is not dutta's wife" (heck, ayi sahib stayed away from dutta while he was in a bad mood...she knows he won't listen and needs his space...even the evil sisters didn't bother to come dutta's room, as they knew it would have bad consequences...)...and before that moment dutta gave many opportunities for naku to leave him alone & bajirao was constantly warning her. So at this moment, i dont feel sympathetic towards naku, as she put her hand in the lion's mouth all on her own so now must suffer the consequences. Nevertheless, i liked how naku composed herself and didn't breakdown...and she was still considerate of the whole situation & didnt utter a word of complaint...the girl is too good !!! i have feeling, she will forgive dutta right away...so no showing attitude to him. :/I know what you mean when you say it was well-deserved. But I find solace in the fact that it wasn't an ignorant error on Nakku's part - she KNEW it could possibly enrage him, but there was honestly nothing she could do to stop. She COULD NOT stand by as Dutta harmed himself by drinking any more - psychologically and physically. So, yeah even though she did put her hand in the proverbial "lion's mouth", she had no other option. She was just too helpless here. This was a clear case of wrong place, wrong time - nothing could have prevented this because all the ingredients involved were practically urging for this explosion to happen.*last but not least, bajirao is the sweetest guy...i mean, he barely interacts with naku & hardly knows her...yet he was taking a stand for naku infront of his mentor, big bro, & best friend dutta...bajirao's actions proved that not only he cares for naku but he knows how to call out on dutta when he has done something wrong. Baji is not a blind follower of dutta & he doesn't watch dutta do watever...Btw i loved how bajirao showed dutta loads of attitude...and when dutta told naku that she shudnt forget she is just a maid in his house...bajirao took dutta's words so personally...thus he was like, even, i wont forget my status in this house. I love baji-dutta relation and the scene was enacted so wonderfully...both actors were superb !! I think bajirao has considered naku a friend of his own...even though he doesn't know her..i think all of the ppl that work for dutta, bajirao considers them his own friends b/c his interaction with sethji, ganpat, and babi is so informal..as if he is part of the family..also, i dont think bajirao sees naku as a sister just yet...his care towards her is more based on humanitarian grounds & somewhat of friendship.Agree! ๐* i really look forward to a friendship of baji-naku...i always knew he would play the peacemaker, & cupid between tasha !!

so I have been watching LTL regularly since Dutta's entry on Youtube and I chanced upon this forum only a couple of days back when I didnt find the videos on Youtube... I needed my daily dose of Dutta as I was having severe withdrawal symptoms you see.... ๐๐๐๐๐
But one thing I must say... your analysis is just awesome! since I watch the episodes later at night here in the US I have the advantage of pausing, going back and replaying scenes number of times before I am forced to move on... sigh.. what has Dutta made me into... ๐๐๐๐
Thank you so much for appreciating my "crazy ramblings"! ๐ And trust me when I say, it's not just you who does that. I know of 2-3 more people, including myself, who for a fact have to watch the episode 3-4 times before we even come close to UNDERSTANDING everything that's happened! ๐
Coming to today's episode, here are my two cents...I agree with everything you say, but then I give my own two cents every now and then. ๐
Can I say I just loved Bhaji today? ๐๐๐ this guy amazingly brings life to a character who is so overshadowed by Dutta Bhao at every point of time... and he does it so effortlessly.....
Bhaji's initial apprehension for Naku when he saw Dutta slowly losing his cool and gesturing her to keep quiet.... uff... what concern... of course nothing he would have said would have mattered to Naku who just couldnt help herself from stopping her Dutta Sahib from drowning his misery in alcohol.... ๐ณ๐ณ (Ok.. let me first finish with Bhaji before I get on to the others... ๐)
Then the look of disbelief in his face when he saw Dutta pulling Naku towards the door... it was almost like he couldnt believe it was his Bhao who was doing something like this.... his loyalty towards Bhao is just so amazing.... ๐
When he sees Naku's temple bleeding, his concern comes out like any best friend/brother would have shown... there was genuine affection and concern in his eyes when he was looking at her... and once Naku leaves, his look of helplessness when he turns towards Bhao... for a moment he looked like he was tempted to rush up to Bhao and shake him out of his drunken frenzy.... ๐๐๐ ofcourse I might be completely wrong here but thats just my interpretation (or misinterpretation... ๐๐๐)OMG! I know!! Like he was screaming silently: " WHAT IN THE HECK IS WRONG WITH YOU!?!"
And the silent treatment meted out to Bhao the next morning and the subtle taunting that he knows his aukad.... sigh... you were right Fivr... it so looked like a tiff between a couple with the wife angry and silent about something and the hubby clueless and trying to get his wife to spill the beans.... uff.. what do these two do to me...๐ ๐๐๐
"Kya Bhao.. ladki par haath utayaa.. aur bhool gaya?" Dutta might be the ultimate gentleman with his manners but even with all his rough language and coarseness Bhaji shows that he is no less with this single line.... ๐๐๐This was my absolutely favorite dialogue of the episode - it was sheer brilliance!
His words to Dutta in the final scene seemed to bring out his own anguish... he had Dutta in a pedestal in his heart and although Dutta still remains there it was almost like he just couldnt believe that his Bhao is capable of doing such an ungentlemanly act with Naku.... sigh.... enough said.... before my brain melts away.... ๐๐
Naku literally had no dialogues today but just with her eyes and body language she managed to show her hurt, pain, helplessness, vulnerability and ofcourse her love and devotion to Dutta... uff.. she transcends her own performance everyday.... ๐๐๐
she just couldnt stop herself from preventing Dutta from taking a swig out f his glass na... oh what fierce love... she just cant see him defeated and trying to drown his sadness in alcohol.... nuh huh... not when she is around... ๐๐
her silent gesture to Bhaji after she got hurt as if telling him not to utter a word.... like pleading with him not to bring this incident to Dutta's notice as he wouldnt be able to forgive himself if he comes to realize what he has done.... even when he has hurt her she can never see him in despair.... the creatives have done a great job in showing the intense love that Naku has for Dutta... ๐๐๐ it has been too long since I have seen a show with such raw emotions portrayed.... ๐๐๐๐OMG! AGREE, AGREE, AGREE! I saw that too! Like she was pleading to Baji - asking him not to let Dutta realize what he's done. *sigh*
Sigh.... **brain melts even while thinking** of course... its our Dutta Bhao.... seriously where can I place an order for a man like him? ๐๐ I peered into every white corolla that crossed me today on the road but unfortunately I just couldnt find him.... ๐๐๐๐
Dutta's outburst reminded me of a volcano bursting forth which meant destruction all around.... the fury.. the violence... you were right Fivr.. his body simply vibrated with anger when he was shouting at Naku... almost as if he was really trying to keep the beast inside him, inside.... that was one heck of an acting.... ๐๐๐๐
But you know I am kind of glad that Naku dared to speak up and became the target of his wrath.. it might sound weird but I think Dutta really needed this outlet for his frustration that was gnawing at him from the insides... if Naku had gone on her way when Bhaji told her to, Dutta would have silently brooded over everything and kept it all inside him, increasing the bitterness inside his heart... for this purpose I am almsot glad that Naku got him to react and yell at her....
I know! I am so glad she dared to probe the sleeping lion - but then again ONLY Nakku can. Only she has such rights over Dutta and such guts to enforce them! ๐The Dutta Bhao waking up from sleep..... hayee..... seriously I want someone who looks so yumm first thing in the morning ๐๐ (well it was afternoon in his case but who cares... ๐๐๐)
The lazy drawl to Bhaji... the relaxed walk to the door and the reluctant steps towards the shower... it might have been only for 30 seconds or so but I somehow feel this scene brought out the child in the man... again I might be totally wrong but this scene endeared Dutta to me more than anything... it was almost as if he was forced to grow up before his age and take the responsibilities of his family and inside his heart he is still yearning for the carefree life of youth.... a few extra minutes of wink in the morning... he looked so much like any common guy.. who hates to wake up ๐๐ great job mishal in portraying Dutta Bhao so flawlessly....
"Tu kyun roothi hui biwi ki tharah peeche chal raha hai?" Man should I say it... I love the dialogues in this show..... ๐๐๐๐
The disbelief in Dutta's eyes on hearing Bhaji recounting what had happened the previous night... it was almost as if he was ashamed of his own self for a moment there..... what can thi guy do with just his eyes and body language.... sigh.... ๐ ๐
this was one of the best episodes of LTL in my opinion and I really hope we get more such intense episodes.... this is one show that has managed to hold my interest for almost 2 months now and I really hope the creatives keep up with the way they have treated the Dutta-Naku story till now and dont cave into the usual frivalties of soap operas...Amen! Really, amen!!
Uff... my reply has become almost as long s your original post and I didnt even talk about the amazing mother-daughter relationship between Babi and Naku... Dutta and Bhaji have occupied all the space in my brain and I have no space for mulling over other things like the 3 sisters... ๐คข ๐๐๐You talked about other fun stuff and it was just as enjoyable to read! ๐
Okay then... Its time for me to go to sleep and have Dutta invade my dreams.... I cant keep him waiting for too long.... ๐ณ๐ณ๐ณ ๐๐๐๐

Your TIN is one thing which I never miss.
