But Fivr he doesnt love Naku either. Ok we think there is an awareness...but thats all. She's a maid in his house who saved his life. can he really feel betrayed by naku? i think sups is a better bet for betrayal becuz afterall she's his fiancee. whether u love ur fiancee or not its a commitment. he wud expect her to meet her part of the committment.
Yeah I agree that there's a commitement involved - but Supriya NEVER said that she was ready for the engagement. It was all done between parents - his and hers. And even though he's voiced his hesitation to her and told her he'd work at it, she's never said she's willing to work on it too. For all he knows, she hates him and just never said anything - because she NEVER said ANYTHING. Everyone related to this "rishta" has just assumed that the girl was happy with this relationship - Dutta'd just assumed that HE was the one that needed to work at it, just assumed that she'd already accepted this relationship. So if he gets betrayed by Supriya - I'm going to say it's his fault. She NEVER hinted that she was happy with this. In fact if anyone had bothered to notice, she always looked visibly unhappy with this marraige. I see no reason for him to get upset at her - maybe at himself for being this oblivious to the truth for this long and maybe frustrated at her for not having told him anything once he asked. But not betrayed - certainly not betrayed.
But with Nakku, they saved each others' lives - that automatically forms a stronger and closer relationship even if you don't know the other person for a long time. If someone saves my life, they are going to be closer to me, irrespective of how long I know them. And if we notice, that has been visible in Dutta's behavior - he treats her just like he does Baji and Baji he's known for a long long time. He took her for gift shopping instead of anyone else - yeah, given that she suggested to him what to get when they were in his room but did he really have to take her with him? He couldn't just take her word for it and then find someone else to go with? I know, I know that there probably wasn't anyone else he'd be comfortable with - but there was SOMEONE else who knew SOMETHING about shopping whether they made him comfortable or uncomfortable. He didn't have to take Nakku and he doesn't have to be this comfortable around her. But he did and he is - and it's a closer more complex bond - one that has room for betrayal. Atleast that's my opinion. Supriya, even though she was the fiance, never came as close as Nakku was, even though she was just someone that worked in his house.
