I usually hate weekends as far as the show's concerned because I hate the wait. Yesterday had been pretty busy for me though, so I didn't miss the show as much. But today was a whole different story - I figured I'd watch the "Dutta's-entry" episode again. But once I saw it, I just had to write about it! So here it is - as always, read at your own risk... 😆
  • Ever since the first time I saw this episode, I was amazed at why Baji (and later Dutta) put up with Malmal More's insults and his obnoxious behavior to begin with. In the business that they are in, people get killed for far less. But now it makes sense - ever since BEFORE he ever made an entry on that boat, we've been shown how very patient Dutta is. Even those working for him have had to endorse his principles - the most prevalent one being his patience. They would not hurt More but instead patiently ask him to leave, once and then twice and then a few more times. Because, they'd much rather give him a fair chance than jump the gun and take the easy way out. I like it!
  • "Mera mal kaheen nahi jaye ga!" ... The authority in that voice - it wasn't a warning, a threat or an arrogant claim. It was just a fact - that his shipment wasn't going to go anywhere. Just that simple. *sigh* 😍
  • Did anyone else notice Baji's smirk right when Dutta appeared on the boat? I loved it! He knew how badly More had messed up and he knew that being as arrogant as More was he wasn't just going to accept his mistake and move back. He knew More was going to get a good thrashing! I loved that smirk! It said "Now he's gone!". 😆
  • More called Dutta "Amitabh Bachchan"!?! Excuse me while I pass out on the floor laughing... 🤣
  • Dutta on the boat with his hands on his hips. *sigh*... Dutta jumping into knee deep water and treading forward. *sigh*.. 😍
  • Baji knew how awesome it would be to see More get a beating (the smirk said it all!) and yet he still tried to warn him one last time! He's a gentleman like his Dutta Bhao too! If it were me, I'd probably egg More on so he'd get into more trouble and get more beating - not try to give him another chance to escape!
  • Baji and "JACKIE SHROFF"!?!?!?!? Bwaaahahahahahaha! 🤣
  • Malmal More threatened to take Dutta's shipment, was obnoxiously rude to him, slapped him not once but twice - and STILL Dutta told him to listen to Baji and leave. But the minute Nakku asked him for help things changed drastically. Up until it was about him being wronged by More, he was willing to let More leave scott free - he was giving More leeway to come to his senses and save himself. But as soon as Nakku came in the picture, it was out of his hands. Now, he couldn't give the guy any more leeway because now it wasn't about him but about someone else. And Dutta is not the kind of guy who's going to let someone suffer on his account. Up until it was about his own "suffering", he was allowing More's nonsense to slide. But he wasn't going to gamble with someone else's pain - I LOVE that. Because people usually don't think twice about saving themselves but take forever to get involved in someone else's mess - I love how Dutta is, like I've said so many times before and probably will say it many more times still, a total gentleman!
  • Dutta is the kind of guy who strictly believes in not interfering in other people's business. All throughout his argument with More, he never once glanced at Nakku - he had no reason to be concerned by/for her because he was not involved in it. As long as More had left before Nakku asked Dutta for help, I am sure Dutta wouldn't have thought twice about it. It wasn't his place to meddle in whatever was going on between Nakku and More and I respect that. I know, I know... We despise More and would have not liked it if Dutta wouldn't have done anything - but objectively speaking, Dutta had no inkling of what was going on between Nakku and More. He had NO reason to interfere - and I appreciate that he wouldn't have meddled. It irritates me when people make everything their business whether it concerns them or not. So the fact that Dutta wouldn't have is something that I like. But off course, once Nakku asked him for help everything concerning her became his business - and I love that even more! 😃
  • Lol! Malmal More did the little "eye brow dance" thing to taunt Dutta after he'd slapped him the second time. Wow, he really had no idea what was coming to him! 🤣
  • So I am going to admit, when Nakku grabbed onto Dutta's white jacket I was worried that some of her "color" would rub off on it. In fact I was looking for dark smudges on his jacket for the rest of the episode. I really want to know the secret to this color - it's almost like the color reads minds and knows when it's supposed to come off and when it isn't. Spooky! 😆
  • Dutta Bhao beating up More and his evil minions ... *sigh* *swoon* 😍
  • Can I say that I love Dutta? I'm going to say it anyways - I love Dutta! He beat up More because More had woken up the proverbial "lion" here but he wasn't vicious about it. When the rage cleared a little and he saw More's bloody and crumpling body, he didn't take the last "kill shot". He was angry, but he wasn't brutal. And I LOVE THAT!! *sigh* 😍
  • Ever since Dutta's voice drifted across the shore, he had Nakku's attention. At first she was alarmed by this "person" that dared to go against More. When he got slapped twice, Nakku was concerned for him - but when he STILL stood his ground Nakku was amazed. She figured he was her best bet at trying to get away from More and that is when she latched onto his arm and asked him for help. And even though she was asking him for help, she didn't believe that he would actually dare to stand between her and More - that he would even try to protect her. Maybe because she'd been dismissed numerous times before - but when he finally pulled More's hand off of Nakku's she was genuinely surprised, like she couldn't believe that he would actually do something this "dangerous" for someone as insignificant as her. In fact she even shook her head, as if trying to warn him not to "lock horns" with More. But once Dutta beat up more, she was intrigued by him - she couldn't understand him because he was nothing like anyone she'd ever met. At least that's what I thought...
  • When Babi fell to Dutta's feet, I liked the glance he gave Baji - almost like saying "Now, what's this?!" To him, he did what he did because that's what was right - he didn't need to be thanked for it and not by someone who's almost as old as his Aayi. That was the first time we saw his sense of "respect" for people around him. I liked that too.
  • Dutta passionately listened to Babi explain her "problems" with More - never once judging her or being sarcastic. She said it and he believed it - there was no skepticism. In fact when Baji tries to confirm if the "story" wasn't scripted from a movie, I loved the look Dutta gave him. Sort of like a "Seriously Baji?!". And then off course came the swift movement of the eyes to indicate that he wanted the family to travel with him. Dutta's a softie on the inside - he knew they were in trouble and even though he had just met them and didn't know if they were really really speaking the truth he believed them and wanted to help them. *sigh* I want one... 😍
  • Dutta casually standing against his car... *sigh* ☺️
  • Nakku's curiosity gets the best of her and after a long time of trying not to glance at Dutta, she finally looks up at the rear view mirror. And instantly you could see her "amazement" reflected in her eyes as she tries to soak in the sight of this mysterious man and tries to "understand" him. In the mean time Dutta glances over and he is just as intrigued at the "larki" staring at him from the mirror. But as soon as Nakku glances away, he tries to dismiss it too. Ever since their first meeting, Nakku's been taking liberties with Dutta's personal space - without any apprehension. And Dutta's been letting her do so without much retaliation. I love how she's been so comfortable around him ever since the beginning. She picked him over More, and then normally people would be scared to irk the "Don" but here she is staring at him through the rear view mirror of his own car. I love this girl!
  • Dutta cares for kids and what they want... *sigh*.. When Sethji was hungry the entire plan had to be put to a halt until he wasn't hungry any more. Normally people would dismiss little kids who complain of hunger thinking that it's kids and they ALWAYS complain during car rides ( I know I did!). But here comes Dutta Bhao, who takes everyone's pain seriously - regardless of their age, color or status. WHO is this guy?! And where can I get one? Seriously!! 😍
  • I love the "silent" conversations that Bhao and Baji have. Really! It shows how compatible the two are - how much they understand each other. And just as much as that, I loved the little conversation they had outside the car in front of the dhaba when Baji told Dutta he was going to go get a "drink"... of "lassi" and then how he conveniently took care of the two bodyguards who were getting ready to pester Bhao about the sudden change in plan. Baji respects Dutta enough to understand what Bhao needs and do as is told as far as work is concerned, but at the same time he can joke around with Dutta like a friend and take care of anyone that might "irritate" Dutta like a brother. I love Baji-Dutta relationship!!! 😃
  • Can someone tell me why the two body guards were dressed alike? Don't tell me they had a uniform!? Some how I can't see Dutta enforcing uniform rules on his men. 🤣
  • Ganpat literally goes through the menu like he hasn't had food in days! No wonder Baji was amused and Babi was embarassed... 😆 But that was so true to character - he didn't know when he'd get to eat again or if he'd ever get a chance to get a "free" meal again, so he decided to make the best of it.
  • Nakku was so hesitant when it came to having her dinner. She kept glancing back to Dutta while eating - as though if he wasn't eating, she wasn't sure if she should. *sigh* I love the devotion between these two! 😍
  • The hand pump scene! *sigh* 😍 It starts off with such a gentle/delicate touch from Dutta - suggesting that even though he was a don he wasn't a brute. He knew his boundaries and didn't want to startle Nakku either. And then how he "softly" gestures to Nakku that he'd pump the water - I know he didn't SAY anything, but the gesture it self was very soft, very refined. And then, when Nakku was intrigued by his personality/character and was caught staring at him he simply gestured to her to wash her hands. Nothing dramatic, nothing over the top - he didn't make a big deal about being the target of her stare, so as not to embarass her. And then she silently thanked him with folded hands and headed back. This was their first interaction - albeit wordless - but it had so much "energy" and so much communication that it showed they'd never be dependent on words to get their point across.
  • Ganpat is such a complex character - he isn't a bad man, just a man with flaws. He understands that Dutta helped his family and recognizes the goodness of his nature. So it wasn't like he was an all out "jerk" - just a man who's probably been wronged so many times by the system and the situations, that he is a staunch believer of "each man for himself". He's going to appreciate your kindness, but the minute he gets a chance to gain something out of a bad situation on your expense he's going to make the most of it. He appreciates your help but between himself and someone else, he's always going to pick himself in a heartbeat.
A lot of what I saw in this episode might be influenced by what I know now. But it's what I thought when I saw it today - so I just hope it makes sense! 😆

Dude, seriously guys like this do not exist. They can't! He's too perfect of a character. He goes out of his way to feed a kid?? I mean, come ON, who does that? And when he pumped water for Nakku, my mouth fell open. I was SO surprised because he actually noticed she needed help and went over to help her. (So obviously, there wa sa connection there, because despite her looks and all, he still followed her around with his eyes. Very aware of her.) If it was any other guy, considering he had already saved her life and all, he wouldn't stop to help her wash hands. And as you mentioned it, the way he did it was something else. He doesn't just shove her out of the way and do it. He is nice, he is kind. He actually cares about this strange girl; it melts my heart.

Ever since their first meeting, Nakku's been taking liberties with Dutta's personal space - without any apprehension. And Dutta's been letting her do so without much retaliation. I love how she's been so comfortable around him ever since the beginning.

I KNOW! 😛 She has totally invaded his privacy so many times but he doesn't get angry. Even when she was insolent enough to tell him to stop drinking, he doesn't get upset, he's only surprised that she is so courageous to talk to him. And then when he asked her if she wasn't afraid of him, he already knew the answer. He knows she's not afraid of him and trusts him implicitly and I believe he finds that endearing. He knows that as long as she needs him, he will be there for her. 😳 If only such men were real lol.

Also, in the "Please-don't-drink" scene, when she tells him drinking doesn't take away the pain, there's extreme interest in his eyes. He WANTS her to talk and enjoys the attention. "Pi maine hai aur zaban teri khul rahi hai." The smile that was on his face when he said this ☺️...... Uff. I found that in that scene alone Naku and Dutta had more chemistry than in an entire episode (though the episode where she serves him kheer and Supriya runs away from the dinner table had a lot to offer as well).

Then after that when he starts walking towards her while she's talking about her Baba was killer. He was trying to scare her but it didn't work since Naku is a sherni 👏

I'm sorry, I know this is not from the episode you reviewed but I just remembered the drinking scene and had to comment.

I agree! The fact that he noticed that she might need help pumping water was something in and of itself. Who notices stuff like this?! People could be standing right next to each other and still be totally unaware of what the other person's doing. And here we have Dutta Bhao who's absolutely and entirely aware of Nakku - her action, her dilemmas, where she is and what she wants. Where can I find more of him?

Ever since their first meeting, Nakku's been taking liberties with Dutta's personal space - without any apprehension. And Dutta's been letting her do so without much retaliation. I love how she's been so comfortable around him ever since the beginning.

Agreed, agreed, agreed! I am this close to try and kidnap Dutta for myself! *sigh*

I really liked that scene too - it was the first time that they'd had an actual conversation, the first time we really saw Nakku exercise her rights on him. And he enjoyed it too. If she was stepping over some boundary, he could have stopped her and that would not be a problem for him. But instead he let her speak. He listened to all she had to say - first with amusement and later with interest. Who pays this much attention to what a "servant" has to say? And here comes our "don" who is silently listening to (and visibly enjoying) all the criticism she's sending his way. *sigh*... I think I am in love. 😆

Oh please don't even worry about it! Anything related to Tasha is totally welcome here. Trust me when I get to that episode, we can have this discussion ALL over again. 😆

I will say Datta/Baji are very fair. Though More is a policeman they were grossly outnumbered by Datta's men. Plus More had prolly moved far away from his jurisdiction. They had also prolly bribed whichever policeman was responsible for that area. Yet they gave Morey a chance to scoot. There have been later instances in the show too where Datta's has given people chances-like he gave Ganpat a chance despite brewing alcohol in the Patil mansion premises. Or that he's giving Supriya a chance to come clean.

Loved it! Baji knew that this man is finished.

Oooo...wasnt it a VERY "Amitabh Bachchan" entry? I thought so...right from that time Ive not recovered from that entry.

I still say..OMG! OMG! OMG! Btw the lazy way he jumps into the water and takes a walk to the beach as if he has all the time in the world. that was wow!😍

Lol! Morey even called him Anil Kapoor. Btw it will be good to have Morey back provided they dont reveal Naku's beauty to the Patils.

The second slap angered Datta...but he let it go...but when it came to Naku u cud see him trying to figure out what's up with Morey and this girl...and then the decision that she's in trouble and needs his help. Btw I like his calm demeanor right from the time he comes face to face wuth Morey till he removed Morey's hand from Naku. here is a man who is ultra calm because he's ultra confident that he gets what he wants.

I was wondering one thing...here they met Baji first and Datta later. What made Naku run to Datta and not Baji right at the start? Ofcourse we are glad that she did. But then at that time she didnt know he's the boss or that Baji has a boss who will be coming over.

I am curious to see what he does the next time he comes face to face with Datta. As Ganpat said Datta is Morey's baap. I guess Morey will try to beat Datta thru guile rather than force. Guile...now thats something i want to see how Datta deals with it.

I know...swooooooonnnn....Btw even while beating them up he does it so casually..like he knows that these guys are just no match to him and he needed spend too much energy on them. In the end i like it that only the sounds of the sea is heard. as if the waves of datta's anger is receding. btw datta beats up all those guys and his suit remains tip top. swoon! also check out the end when he looks at the minions after morey is down as if to say "does anyone have anything to say?"

Yes...there was humanity in all that beating...as if Morey's been dealt with and again gets a chance. Yes Datta isnt vicious at all.

Did u notice the admiring look Naku gives Datta when Baji calls him a sher? The first sign of attraction. 😉

True...he looked at Baji as if to say "what the big deal abt it?". Btw I noticed Datta's been called Babi "mausi" while Baji calls her "Kaki".

I want one...I love the fact that the decision was instantly made that the family get a drop to someplace safe so that Morey cant reach them. I loved it that he didnt question Babi's story at all then. But I guess he didnt completely believe because he asked Naku later. but that might have been because then those people would be staying in his house. plus i suppose he wanted to tell naku he appreciates what she did for him and that question abt morey might have been a start to the convo.

The rearview mirror eye lock...sigh! the first man-woman awareness that passes between them. then she remember how she was in a hopeless situation and this man saved her...i think she fell half in love with him then itself.

Me too! Love them! Btw I loved Datta casually lying on the car once the bodyguards left. Though he's the boss and I guess can take it easy I like it that he's shown to be always alert of what's going on around him. In the dhaba he could have come and sat down but he didnt. he sort of stood guard while he let the others take a break.

  • Can someone tell me why the two body guards were dressed alike? Don't tell me they had a uniform!? Some how I can't see Dutta enforcing uniform rules on his men. 🤣

The guards do seem to have an uniform. everyone's in black. i guess to tell them apart from the other servants.

No wonder Baji was amused and Babi was embarassed... 😆 But that was so true to character - he didn't know when he'd get to eat again or if he'd ever get a chance to get a "free" meal again, so he decided to make the best of it.

Yeah...but in bhao's house I suppose he's well looked after. Here is one person who will not have ANY problem with TaSha marriage whenever that happens.

Fivr u missed the drooling here. I guess that was the first bit of drooling Naku did. She had a good look at him and boy he's sexy.

Its my favorite TaSha interaction so far. Also check out the glance he steals at Naku when she takes a little too long to wash her hands. Or was it the feeling of being stared at made him glance at her? Her staring there was open and abashed. I love her for that...because serial heroines are generally coy but here is one girl who isnt afraid of showing her admiration for her man. And I love the music they played then...it had lot of longing...Naku's longing.
Another thing I have noticed is that Datta has the tendency to touch her rather than talk to her. like in the hand pump scene. or in the hospital when he was attacked...he grabs her hand. and again when sups is attacked and she's banging the door...he wants her to move out of the way so that he can break the door but doesnt tell her...but instead draws her aside. he acts as if its his birthright to touch her...not that we mind. 😃

I think what they showed of Datta then and so far has been very consistent. same goes with Naku, Babi, Ganpat and Baji. I hope they maintain this consistency.

I don't know about "Amitabh Bachchan" but it was definitely a "Dutta Patil" entry - his entry was unique to him for me. I can't compare it to anyone else - but then that's probably because I've never been affected by a character to such an extent. 😆

I still say..OMG! OMG! OMG! Btw the lazy way he jumps into the water and takes a walk to the beach as if he has all the time in the world. that was wow!😍

I know! Like he was giving More another chance to make a run for it - and if he doesn't then well, what's the rush for? He'd get to him when he gets to the shore. He's a man for few words - but his actions speak for themselves. 😍

EXACTLY! He doesn't worry about things or loose his cool - he knows what he wants and he gets it. No drama. No nonsense. 😍

I was wondering one thing...here they met Baji first and Datta later. What made Naku run to Datta and not Baji right at the start? Ofcourse we are glad that she did. But then at that time she didnt know he's the boss or that Baji has a boss who will be coming over.

Well, Baji did say that this was "Dutta Bhai's" stuff and then Dutta said "Mera mal...", so I guess Nakku assumed it wasn't Baji - unless he likes to talk about himself in third person (Hey! You never know! 😆). Plus Baji was verbally resilient but Dutta was oozing confidence and "superiority". While Baji kept "saying" what he thought More should do - i.e. run away - Dutta just asked him once. All the rest of his "talking" was done through his eyes and his expressions. I don't know about everyone else - but to me, someone who doesn't "speak" in their anger is far more intimidating than someone who does. So to me Dutta was more intimidating, I'd definitely have made a run for it. Plus it was Dutta's presence that made her think of "freeing" herself More to begin with - I think again because he didn't 'request" More to leave like Baji did. He just suggested he do it - hinting that if More decided not to, things could get ugly. Lol, at the risk of repeating my self, he really was oozing more "command" that Baji. But that's not to say that Baji was or is any less of a character - in fact I love Baji's uniqueness too!

I am curious to see what he does the next time he comes face to face with Datta. As Ganpat said Datta is Morey's baap. I guess Morey will try to beat Datta thru guile rather than force. Guile...now thats something i want to see how Datta deals with it.

Me too!! I want to see it too. I mean I have a feeling that Dutta's a very "smart" man - but I'd love to see that theory proved! And off course seeing More defeated (again) would be awesome too! 😆

OMG! I love that metaphor! I was thinking the same thing - or along the same lines - that the sea is like Dutta, calm on the surface but when tormented can cause great destruction. And the waves thing fits right in! LOVE IT!! 😃

Did u notice the admiring look Naku gives Datta when Baji calls him a sher? The first sign of attraction. 😉

Yes, but I noticed it during my 5th viewing - usually I'd be busy giving him my own "admiring look" at that point! 😉

True...he looked at Baji as if to say "what the big deal abt it?". Btw I noticed Datta's been called Babi "mausi" while Baji calls her "Kaki".

Yeah I noticed that too - is there a significant difference between the two? I am not too familiar with the language.

I think he believed that what she'd told him then was the truth - just not the complete truth. I mean there has to be MORE to a guy like More (a total slimeball) wanting to "be with" someone that look like Nakku. I mean I understand that such crimes of opportunity happen all the time (regardless of appearance), but this didn't look like a crime of opportunity. More had been holding on the girl while he took the time to argue with Dutta - it was clear that this wasn't a hasty passionate crime and this wasn't some girl who at the wrong place at the wrong time. It was more thought out than that - and I think that's what Dutta was trying to understand. I mean, that's what ran through my mind too when I heard Babi say that. I kept waiting for "more" explanation because what she said didn't make sense without further information. It made sense to us because we'd been aware of what was happening - but to Dutta and Baji, I'm sure it left some unanswered questions. And I think that's what he was asking about.

Me too! Love them! Btw I loved Datta casually lying on the car once the bodyguards left. Though he's the boss and I guess can take it easy I like it that he's shown to be always alert of what's going on around him. In the dhaba he could have come and sat down but he didnt. he sort of stood guard while he let the others take a break.

Yeah, I noticed that too. He is NOT arrogant (read that reporter lady!) - he has no problems sharing the work. Just because he's "boss" doesn't mean everyone else has no life and has to always wait on him. They are just as much human as he is and what they can do, he can too. I like his humility!

The guards do seem to have an uniform. everyone's in black. i guess to tell them apart from the other servants.

For who? I am sure Dutta knows who his body guards are... anyone else shouldn't be able to tell them apart. They can protect him better by blending into the environment. Either way, I thought that was very "filmy" - guards that always looks angry and are in the SAME get up. 😆

Fivr u missed the drooling here. I guess that was the first bit of drooling Naku did. She had a good look at him and boy he's sexy.

Nakku had been taking a good look at him since he stepped off that boat - while he talked to More, beat him up and then while he was listening to Babi. In the car too, and she was stealing glances at him as they walked to the dhaba too. So it only made sense that she did it while she sat there to eat too - now that the situation was more relaxed and she had more time to really focus. ☺️

Agreed! I've noticed that too - that if he has to choose between saying something to her or touching her to make her do it, he'd go for the latter. I thought it was because he's a man of few words - but now I'm beginning to think even HE takes liberties with her personal space like she does with his. It's a mutual thing. Even before "something" actually happened between them, they are so totally authoritative over each other - with the touching and the demanding - they are so comfortable around each other. I love this couple!

I think what they showed of Datta then and so far has been very consistent. same goes with Naku, Babi, Ganpat and Baji. I hope they maintain this consistency.

Totally agree!! Lets hope they maintain it. *prays fervently*
