if he is heartless then that is a negative character. and i do really think that mandira give him to someone else to be raised up and with frequent visitation, if not it will be too easy for the viranis to know the whereabouts of the child. and wasn't gautham given to his chachu and chachi for adoption even before he was taken away, so that means the chachu and chachi did not kidnap him, cause they got the legal custody of the child at that time.
