There is bad news for the loyalists of original Tulsi (Smriti Irani).
According to insiders at Star Plus, the channel which telecasts 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi', has been urging Balaji Telefilms to bring back Gautami Kapoor as Tulsi in the show, as Smriti Irani has not been able to raise the ratings after her return. The channel bosses are disturbed that as the track of Smriti comes, the TRPs dip below than that of Guatami and it is only younger characters that have been attracting higher TRPs.
For example, Karan- Nandini track played by the husband-wife jodi of Hiten Tejwani and Gauri Pradhan has emerged as the post popular track in the serial. Their on -screen love story has become very popular with the masses. Similarly, Ganga and Trupti seem to be very popular with the audience, and now script writers are being told to concentrate more on these popular characters than on Smriti Irani's character of Tulsi.
However, if the TRPs continue to go downwards, the return of Gautami is not ruled out.
