This happens in real life too. Many times, What doctors say and what Mother Nature does are two different things. My aunt had a brain hemmoerage and doctors said she will only survive few hours and next day she went through a major surgery and she did not even open her eyes for 3 weeks and Doctors said, we did our best; whether she will get her memory back or not is not upto them. Then after that her condition got worse and doctors said she might not even get her memory back but after six months she started regaining her memory and now her memory is better than mine.😆

I guess, getting memory back all of a sudden is very normal and it depends on each individual.
