Makrand Deshpande - The modern Ved Vyas
Makrand Deshpande will be playing the role of Ved Vyas in Ekta Kapoor's Kahaani Hamaaray Mahabharat Ki. Suraj Rao, Creative Head of the show, gave us more details.
"Ved Vyas was very strong character of the series. He was the narrator and there are very interesting shades to it. We thought Makrand could do justice to the role. He is a very powerful actor, has got a different face and his physique also suits the character. Above all, we won't need much make up and also won't have to design a special look for him because of his hairstyle. He was very happy when we narrated the script to him and immediately accepted the offer," informs Suraj.
On the character, he adds, "This is the only character which will remain throughout the show but like other characters, this also will be different from the old Vyas. He will not speak pure Hindi. There will be a realistic angle to it as our main aim is to cater to the current generation."
Makrand have already started shooting for the show. With the name finalized, the show will now be launched in August. Even thought there are some known faces, the show will also consist of some newcomers. The main characters like Krishna and Draupadi are yet to be decided.
