"Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi" is considered the milestone in the history of development of television in India. Till few years back, until the much hyped assassination of Tulsi's son Ansh Virani, saas-bahu drama topped the TRP (television rating points) ratings. Both lead characters Tulsi and Mihir Virani earned bouquet of love and appreciation from television audience. Ladies would laugh if Viraani-Khandaan laughs and weep if they do so.
But after the detachment of Amar Upadhyaya to serial, Smriti burnt the midnight oil to continue deriving accolades from viewers. Hence, Smriti's strenuous efforts worked a lot in fostering viewer's interest. But her personal issues with producer, Ekta Kapoor, fostered a farewell party to her last year. As an outcome of this loss to this serial, newly elected Tulsi ,Gautami Kapoor couldn't revive the magic of Mrs. Irani. The Ekta's turns and twists couldn't capture viewers for long.
Ultimately, after dozens of rumours, the most wanted breaking news congratulating the audience was flashed and the entry of old bahu Smriti was confirmed. But question of the day is yet to come up! Would Smriti capture the viewer-ship again? Would she earn TRP again?
Life is enmeshed with successes and failures. Actually, the present situation is suspecting the stardom of this bahu! Smriti's current projects does not seem outputting upto her reputation. Her presence in Zee Tv's soap 'Teen Bahuraniyaan' has actually fallen its TRP. Both of her current venture being aired on 9x channel, 'Mere Apne' and 'Yeh Hai Jalwa' seems lost in the television world.
Meanwhile, with such dispiriting remarks, Kyunki's TRP would ensure the regime of Mrs. Smriti Z. Irani.
