An old argument, blood or upbringing. From Mahabharat also, Krishna was born in Kansa's family. Pandavas and Kauravas were first cousins.

in KSBKBT, both of Tulsi's son were brought of outside home. Gautam however changed later but our great Tulsi Ma coldn't change her Ansh...

So.. welcome for arguments..

Definatly upbringing, it doesnt matter where the child is born or whose blood he or she is, the only thing matter is how his brought up, and whose brought him or her up, cluture, manners, respect is taught by elders, because as a child we always look up to them!

I agree upbringing plays a major part, but as I am in the field of science, I think DNA/genetics also plays a minor role. What I mean to say, certain traits come to us programmed, while some traits can be programmed.

But I agree major role is upbringing.

i agree with Megha... culture, manners and respect are taught... it doesn't come in ur blood... Ansh is the perfect example... He was tulsi's son biologically, but aditya gujral brought him up and taught him all the bad things so he never had any respect for the viranis
