Thulsi is seated in a cell. The inspector warns that if she is trying to play games, he won't let her escape. She has flashbacks of Mihir screaming at her just before Ansh's death. She thinks that if Mihir sees her suffering in jail his anger may reduce substantially.
The inspector calls Mihir to enquire about Thulsi. Baa receives the call and goes in search of Mihir. Damini picks up the receiver and confirms that Thulsi Virani is indeed mentally unstable. Baa overhears the conversation. Damini & Ganga rush into their rooms to discuss the issue further.
Baa is shocked to learn that Thulsi is in trouble. She keeps thinking that people in Shanthinikethan have known Thulsi for a long time, but have failed to understand her. She decides to get to the root of the issue herself.
Mohini looks at a disturbed Harsh and thinks Thulsi is Mother India and Harsh son India. She tries to console Harsh, but Harsh gets angry and then tries to please Mohini asking her not to say anything against Maa.
She goes to the police station. There she hears two inspectors discussing Thulsi and Ansh. She keeps muttering that her Thulsi could do nothing wrong. She rushes to meet Thulsi who is locked up. One of the constables tries to stop her, but the inspector stops him. Thulsi and Baa stand face to face and are too overcome with emotions to speak. Baa goes out of the station crying.
Tanya is worried about Karan. She thinks that karan might loose his cool in the Police station and may risk his own safety, reputation etc. But Nandini says its worth risking all that to have Thulsi freed.
Gautham comes to the police station to claim Ansh's body but is refused as proceedings are still due. Karan who meets him there tries to explain that Thulsi did nothing wrong but Gautham says there is no point in arguing now. When bullets speak, words have no effect.
Inspector frees Thulsi. In the meanwhile search is on for Baa at Shanthinikethan. Baa reaches home and when others try to console her, she asks them to leave her alone.
Thulsi decides to meet Baa. On the way she asks what was told at the police station that she was freed. Karan gives her the news. Thulsi say it is not the right thing. The mother in me wants punishment and he says the son in me doesn't
Thulsi enters Shanthinikethan. Everybody is surprised to see her. She goes towards baa's room. Savitha stops her and says that she has already killed her son and is not even sparing the aged Baa.
Baa comes out of her room, asking savitha to stop. She says "That's my Thulsi. I don't want to hear anything against her. She has lost her son. Atleast let her mourn in peace". But Savitha screams back, Killers don't mourn.
