There are times in all our lives, when we desire the need for divine intervention; times, when life refuses to acknowledge the seemingly obvious and decides to take refuge in a world that is far away from ours. A world that gives the body and mind the spiritual healing that it yearns for. We, at Telly Chakkar.com decided to delve deeper into the lives of our favourite stars and know a little about their lives beyond the obvious.
Define God God is super-power and above all. He is in every grain of my body. God is running the world on his terms. You cannot make a statue of God and store his goodness and divinity. What is spirituality to you? It cannot be explained in words. I think spirituality means understanding of the self. It is belief in one's strength and being. What special bond/connection do you feel with God and your inner-self? God is the one who has made me strong and helped me bounce back. My husband died at an early age. I was not outgoing enough to start things independently. But one fine day I realised that I will have to work for my kids and for myself. I started from scratch and God has been there throughout guiding me. How much do you believe in the magic and power of prayers? I strongly believe in the magic and power of prayers. There is a saying that goes 'Ek zameen upar uthati hai toh ek neeche girati hai' (if there is some force which raises you high then there is another force pulling you down). One has to be rooted as it becomes easier to deal with the failures which are an inevitable part of life. Who do you credit for your ability to overcome the hurdles, if any? I credit myself for the hurdles that I had overcome. One needs to be strong to get your wishes fulfilled. You can't keep sulking. With God as my guiding light I have strongly fought all the battles in life and come out as a winner. What kind of books do you read? Especially to get connected to God and your spiritual side? I listen to the preachings of all the gurus like Asaramji Bapu and Baba Ramdev. But I do not follow them blindly. I do what I feel like following and what is accepted by my heart. In an industry that is so materialistic, how do you manage to retain your inner-self? It is very difficult but you have to face it. One has to control his emotions, desires and wants. You may get lured by certain propositions but one has to keep himself contained. Astrology, numerology and tarot reading? Have you taken help of such occult sciences? I do not trust these sciences blindly not to the extent of adding characters to my name. I have not done it so far so I can't say anything about the benefits of adding characters to your name. But I do believe in superstitions like on Saturdays one should not buy oil and iron objects. Do you fast? I used to observe fasts on a regular basis. But my husband's death had left me completely shaken. No matter how much you pray or fast what is bound to happen will happen. Do you follow rituals? At this age it becomes a little difficult to follow all the rituals as your body doesn't support you. But I do my regular puja and follow the necessary rituals. What is your comfort zone? My home is my comfort zone. I love to spend my time with my children. What keeps you going? My inner-strength keeps me going. I strongly believe that where there is a will there is a way. One should learn to face problems. Any wish/votive that you would want God to fulfill? I would want to tour the whole world. |
