Why is Mihir still in jain?

Wasn't he in jail for Triptis murder, but if she is alive why is he still in jail?

Karan already went to ACP hundred times to tell her that Mihir was innocent, even when Tripti was introduced as babli & last time, Acp said if he came back, she would throw him in jail too. But one day they ll expose her & go back to SN. So Let's wait. According to creative team, It's not the right time to expose Tripti bcoz they r enjoying Chalw track. 😆
