Working with the Kyunki team…

"It's been great and I can't imagine that I have completed six months. I'm very thankful to Ekta. It is because of her that I have become Tulsi and in these six months my life has changed completely. I shoot from 9 am to 6.30 pm. The team is really good. From day one there was no hesitation and now they have become my family. I have worked with Balaji before so I'm enjoying my work."

A scene that made you nervous…

"There was scene in which Jas Thakral kidnaps Tulsi's daughter-in-law Damini after which Tulsi has to become Durga. It was very difficult for me to bring out that aggressiveness of Smriti but it actually went on to become my favourite scene."

Ram's re-entry in Kyunki?

"I really can't comment on this. Daily soap tracks are very unpredictable so whenever he is needed, he will be back. As of now he is busy with Kasamh Se."

Fan reactions…

"On screen they have seen me with whitener on my head and wearing cotton saree because I'm Tulsi on-screen. Off –screen I'm Gautami who is very modern so sometimes people get confused. But mostly the reaction has been positive. I remember when I went shopping during Diwali a lady came and told me 'aap Tulsi ho naa aap bahut accha kaam kar rahi ho'. I was so pleased."

Family reaction…

"I was very nervous to play Tulsi as I was aware that among all the viewers my mother will also watch it. But I was ready to face the criticism from my home as she has been watching Kyunki for the last 7 years. She is my greatest critic."

Daughter Sia

"She has adjusted to my shooting schedule. That's the best part. I was a little worried but thanks to my mother, mother-in-law and my maid, all's well."
