Kyunki's Gennext… What happened to them?
Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi took its fourth leap last year and introduced the Virani family's fourth generation. Initially, they showcased many issues and matters regarding this generation but most of them have remained unsolved with the focus shifting back to the older ones. We take a look at some of them.

Initially, they showcased many issues and matters regarding this generation but most of them have remained unsolved with the focus shifting back to the older ones. We take a look at some of them.
Lakshya (Pulkit Samrat) was in love with Krishnatulsi (Mouni Roy) but after she got raped by Mayank things changed. His mother anyways never wanted him to marry Krishnatulsi. Suddenly, Eklavya who was madly in love with KT married her. After that Lakshya forcefully got married to Laxmi but she ran away because of his mother Trupti's torture. Now nobody knows where Laxmi is. Will she comes back and will Lakshya come to know about his mother's truth?
On the other hand, Eklavya (Akash Deep Sehgal) is suspicious about KT-Lakshya's relationship even after their marriage. He used to taunt both of them but his character is hardly seen in the show now. At one point of time he was the main negative character.
Abir (Vikas Sethi) - Archita and Billi Thakural's track also ended abruptly. Abir was in love with Bhoomi and then became possessive about his wife Archita, who is missing from the show for more than two weeks. There is not a single mention about Billi Thakural, the obsessed lover of Archita after his father Jas Thakural's arrest.
Despite the much awaited makeover of Joydeep there is not a lot interesting in their track. You can notice Joydeep in the Virani family but Bhoomi and Joydeep hardly have any scenes together these days.
The mentally challenged Mayank is in the mental asylum and under police observation for allegedly raping KT. He was part of the show during Tulsi's days in the asylum but now no one mentions a single word about him.
Also, we hardly get to see the tussle between Nakul and Manthan, who used to hate Nadini a lot and even tried to kill her. He had started behaving nicely later and also had a good bonding with Bhoomi before suddenly disappearing from the show.
When quizzed about these half-baked plots, scriptwriter Anil Nagpal told us, "There are many characters in Kyunki and many pending issues too so we always play a track when we get a good plot centred around it. We have shifted our focus to the old generation because it was needed. Some of the other tracks have got over."
About Bhoomi's track, he said, "I cannot concentrate fully on her. She is having two tracks and if I focus on both of them she will become the heroine of the show and others will feel left out."
Though writer denies that the show's TRPs are falling we have learnt that they will introduce some new twists and turns in the show. Right now the focus is on Karan-Tanya-Nadini and Sahil-Ganga-Trupti who belong to the older generation.
