Rakshanda working hard on her blind act
Rakshanda Khan, who plays Tanya Virani in Kyunki, has turned blind in the serial after losing her eyesight in an accident. And in an endeavour to get her act right, she has decided to start watching films which have actors playing blind characters.
Says Rakshanda, "I think that's the simplest way to learn. Sparsh and Black are among the two films on my list. Both Naseeruddin Shah and Rani Mukherji are excellent in the respective films."
That's not all. She adds, "I will be observing blind people closely and will also visit a blind school."
Rakshanda admits that it is quite a challenging task. "If I'm not able to see anything and have to purposely hit a table, it is going to be very painful but my unit members and co-actors have promised to support me."
She has already shot for a few scenes. About her experience so far she says, "It's quite scary but as an actress I'm enjoying my new role. I don't know for how long it will last but this will be a good learning experience."
Kyunki apart, Rakshanda is doing a negative role in Kajjal.
