She's one of the most well-known actors on the small-screen. With her ready charm and wit she has successfully hosted many shows in the past too.
Now, Rakshanda Khan wants to get back to her first love. "I miss anchoring and want to get back to it. 'Jodi Kamaal Ki' was the last show I hosted about two years back. Daily soaps leave you with little time to pursue anything else.
And I was doing two of them— 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhie Bahu Thi' (Star Plus) and 'Kuch Apne Kuch Paraye' (Sahara). I needed a breather so I quit the latter, which eventually came to an end," she says.
Right now, Rakshanda is in talks about anchoring a few shows. "There are several interesting offers, which I am considering. Anchoring is what I enjoy the most and I certainly don't want to miss out on the thrill of doing a live show," she says.
Apart from television, Rakshanda is also busy with her event management company. "Though I am involved in the creative aspect, I cannot attend office everyday. But there are people who get things done as per the requirement," she says.
Professionally, she has found her direction but personally Rakshanda is still on the lookout for Mr Right. "The status is pretty much the same," she smiles and continues philosophically, "I guess God does not give everything to a person. I have a good career going. It will take a while for the right man to come in my life."
Aren't family and friends keen on matchmaking? "Oh! My family has given up on me. Now it's left to my friends to do the needful," she laughs
