[Most of these character's are from the serial Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi...; they have similarties to their on screen character's personality but a different storyline...]

INTRODUCTIONS:

Lakshya Virani:

21 years old and being the youngest in the family, Lakshya definetly holds the title of being a lady charmer and an ideal son. Lakshya is forever flirting with girls and has a way of being in every girl's heart (even the dadi's!!) with just a smile. Lakshya bows down to no one, except his Baa, she is one person whom he shares everything with. Born to a rich family, this blue eyed boy enjoys the pleasures of life, and with no hardships. Life comes easy to him, as he takes everything lightly. Now living in New York City, NY, Lakshya is living the American dream in a fast paced city with a fast paced lifestyle. He is enjoying his last year at NYU and will be soon graduating with his MBA degree.

KT (Krishna Tulsi) Verma:

At a young age of 18, KT has achieved lots in her life. Belonging to a middle class family settled in Mumbai, KT has always worked for what she's gotten. With a religious upbringing she is a devout believer of Radha-Krishnaji, and is always following the right path. Sometimes a little moody and a little stubborn, KT can be a handful to take care of. Her parents are worried about her leaving to USA to get her undergrad degree at NYU. As their only child, her father is a little protective at times, and thinks twice before granting her something. KT is very respectful of her parents and very loyal, she would never think to go against her father's wishes if he sternly refuses her something. Her patience is endless, if she wishes it, she won't openly fight for it, but fight for it through her patience.

Eklavya Sehgal:

23years old and only son, Eklavya already works for a high time paying company. Born to a middle class family and a military background, Eklavya worked his way up from living cheaply to living on grand scale. Eklavya has always been very shy and very hard working. His parents are very proud to have a son like him. His dream was always to meet the perfect woman, but so far he has been unsuccessful since his shyness holds him back. His interest remain in reading and spending time in the library. He is always on the outlook for true love. Living in NYC, Eku hates the city and wishes to settle down somewhere far away one day.

Baa:

Baa is Lakshya's dadi and also is the apple of Baa's eyes. Baa afectionately calls Lakshya, Kisna, as he was also born on Janmastmi. Lakshya is always there to serve her, and bow down to her wishes. Being the eldest in the family she is most respected and given thought to. She dreams of finding a Radha one day for her dotted grandson, Kisna.

Ganga & Sahil Virani:

Ganga is the jaan of the parivaar. She holds everyone together. A head strong modern day woman, nothing can stand in Ganga's way of what she wants. She is utmost respectful to her mother-in-law, Baa, and forever more loyal to her husband, Sahil.

Sahil, a huge business tycoon, owns many businesses in the NYC area, he has achieved alot in his life and wishes to retire on the day his youngest son, Lakshya gets married. Everyone follows his orders and also with a religious upbringing he forever encourages Kisna to pray who never seem interested in praying.

Sagar & Dhara Virani:

The eldest son of Ganga and Sahil, Sagar is obviously the more obediant one. He is married and has a child with his lovely wife, Dhara. Dhara is the ideal Bahu and very respectful to everyone and takes up all the household responsiblities upon herself.

Rahul Virani:

5year old Rahul is the mischevious one of the family, his admiration for his Chachaji(Lakshya) and his respect for his father gives him combination of a little mischief and hard worker. He considers his Chacha his guru, and for which him and Lakshya are basically good friends rather than Uncle and Nephew.

Prachi (Neetu) Kaur:

Prachi (nicknamed: Neetu) is KT's bestfriend, they are both coming in as international students at NYU. Neetu is a bubbly girl who is sometimes too emotionally charged, and more of thinker from the heart. She supports KT in everyway but thinks that KT needs to relax a bit and let love into her life. Neetu is eagerly waiting for the day she leaves India to America.

Neev Singh:

Neev is Lakshya's best friend. Full of life and ready to party down whenever and wherever, a true partier. Neev's life goals mainly consist of finsihing his MBA (his father's dream), and parting until he dies (his dream). He brings Lakshya good company, and is always there to help out anyone in need! He is the only son of a rich man, as his mother died off when he was very young. He has been through many hardships, as his father isn't really close to him. He always manages to look on the more positive side and go through life. His motto: Live in the moment!

Tulsi & Mihir:

Tulsi & Mihir are KT's parents. Tulsi has brought up KT to live life on her terms but yet on the right path. Having KT as an only child, Mihir is a little strict with her.

SYNOPSIS:

Life is complicated, and the more we try to understand it the more we'll get caught in the daily tangles.

Lakshya always believed that he could create his own destiny and there was nothing stopping him in the way for what he wanted. KT always believed and put her full trust in God, if it was meant it be it will take place. Her patience sometimes gets her into trouble and sometimes brings the fruit of her wait. A clash is going to happen that wasn't meant to be, but yet so perfectly placed like it was a cause of destiny.

Neev never planned anything until a moment before it happens, he lives to the extreme and has no regrets. A true fighter at heart but very soft from the inside. Neetu sees everything in a brighter light, even through her failures she'll see a success. Her never ending thoughts of her prince charming causes her heart to break many times but yet she still has hope for a prince to knock on her doorstep one day.

Sahil and Ganga have been a forefront and strong balance for each other ever since they met. Theirs was the first love marriage in the entire parivaar to which many looked down upon but Baa supported.

Baa is proud of her entire family and now wants to put the pieces together before she goes to thakurji's ghar. She wants to see Lakshya's wife.

SCENE 1

Location: MUMBAI

[Its late at night and KT is checking her bags to see if she's gotten everything before her early morning flight to New York.]

*KT pulls out her long list of things from her dresser drawer and quietly reads over the items to herself*

KT: toothbrush, toohpaste, towel, kapade, joote...sab kuch toh hai mere paas, phir bhi na jaane kyun mujhe aisa lag raha hai ke main kuch bhool rahi hoon

*KT's mother slowly walks up behind her*

Tulsi: sab kuch rakh liya, Tulsi beta?

*KT a little scared, spins around to see who it is*

*Tulsi, quickly turns her back towards KT to pick up the scattered cloths lying on the floor, trying to hide her tears*


KT: Ma! aapne toh mujhe bilkul hi daraa diya tha!

Tulsi *voice breaking*: haan, mein toh baas...dekh ne ke liye...

KT: Ma, aap please rooye maat...aapko toh pata hai ke mujhe kitna bura lage ga agar aapne aisi hi...*voice breaks*

*Tulsi walks to KT's bed and sits down*

Tulsi: yehi toh zindagi hai beta...

*KT walks to where her mother is sitting and falls to her knees, digging her head into her mother's lap*

KT *now in full tears*: mein aap loogon ko bohoti miss karungi

*Tulsi slowly runs her fingers through her daughter's hair and pats her head*

Tulsi: na beta, aise thodi na rote hain...kitni badi ho kar aise roo rahi hai, loog kya samjhenge

*Tulsi forces a smile*

Tulsi: accha ab meri baat sun...*lifts up KT's face and wipes her tears off..KT intently waits to hear her mother's advice*...vahan pardhai ke liye jaa rahi hai tu, kuch aisa vaise kaam ke liye nahin...samjhin?

KT:...kya maa, aap bhi, na jaane kaise baatien karn-

Tulsi: mein keh rahi hoon kyun ke mujhe pata hai aaj kaal ke bacche kya kya karne lage hain

KT: magar mein toh aisi nahin hoon

Tulsi: ...pata hai beta, magar phir bhi...sambhal ke...

[the scene ends with KT resting her head on her mother's lap...]

Location: NYC


[Lakshya has just gotten out of the shower and is ready to go to his last year MBA program orientation...]

*Rahul sees Lakshya still combing his hair, and takes this chance to put one of his roller skates in front of the bathroom door, and hides underneath Lakshya's bed*

*Lakshya whistling and lost in his own thoughts walks towards his room right when...*

Lakshya: AHHHHHHHHH!!!! *Lakshya's arms fly in the air as his body falls backwards*

*Rahul creeps out underneath the bed and laughs hysterically and claps his hands*

*Dhara hurries into Lakshya's room to see what the loud noise was all about*

Dhara: kya hai yeh Lakshya? tum gir kaise gaye? zara sambhal ke kaam karo...

*Lakshya slowly rises from the ground*

*and quickly grabs Rahul before he could run away*

Lakshya: Bhabhi...yeh saab aapke iss ladle ki saazish hai

*Dhara quickly snatches Rahul and is about to spank his butt*

Dhara: Hai Ram! yeh ladka toh din par din aur bhi badmash hota ja raha hai

*Lakshya places his hand between Dhara and Rahul*

Lakshya: rehne do Bhabhi, yahi toh din hote hain masti karne ke liye...right rahul?*puts his hand infront of Rahul for a high-five*

Rahul *slaps lakshya's hand back*: RIGHT!

Dhara: accha agar ab yeh chacha-bhateje ki baat hogayi ho, toh mei yeh kehna chahungi ke abhi nau baj gaye hain aur Rahul Maharaj aapko school jaana hai...yaad hai ki nahin?

Lakshya: OH SHIT!

Rahul: Haw! chachu!

Lakshya: sorry sorry! mujhe der ho rahi hai, mein chalta hoon

Rahul: chalta nahin, chachu, bhagta!

Lakshya: bye rahul, bye bhabhi!

*Lakshya messes Rahul's hair and runs out of the room*

[Lakshya hurrily arrives at his university to find Neev waiting for him]

Neev: kya yaar, kitni der lagadi tumne...tu toh ladkiyon se bhi zaada time lagata hai taiyaar hone mein

Lakshya: aaj phir se Rahul ne mujhe gira diya tha

Neev: kya baat hai lakshu beta, tu toh kitne barde barde admiyon se pit ta hai

Lakshya *sarcastically*: haan haan...

Neev: ab chalo

Location: MUMBAI AIRPORT

KT: Papa, mein aapko phone karungi jab flight land hogi

Mihir*laughingly*: haan, ab toh tu videshi ban gayi...

KT: PLEASE PAPA, NO!, mein toh sirf wahan college ke liye jaa rahi hoon, zindagi bhar ke liye nahin

Tulsi: aabhi tu yeh kehrahi hai, kahin baad mein pata chala ke vahin bassne ke plans bana liye ho

KT: Maa!

Tulsi: accha, baat chhodo, abhi Neetu nahin aayi? woh bhi tumhare saath jaa rahi hai na...aabhi tak kyun nahin aayi?

KT: pata nahin Maa, mein aabhi usse phone karti hoon

Mihir: haan beta, varna flight miss hojayegi

*KT calling Prachi*

Prachi: KT!!!!, tumne apna phone off kiya tha kya??!! maine kitni baar tumme phone karne ki koshish ki!! yeh kya-

KT: arrey, Neetu!! kahan ho?!! flight take off hone ko hai, aur tu abhi tak nahin aayi!!

Prachi: Mein abhi tak nahin aayi!!?? mein toh flight mein hi baithi hoon!! Tum kahan ho??

KT: KYA?? tum flight mein baithi ho??

Prachi: haan, mein yahin hoon, aur tumhara intezaar karte karte paak chuki hoon!!

KT: Neetu!! tu paak chuki hai?? main abhi baati hoon tumhen!

*KT hangs up the phone, feeling a bit annoyed*

Tulsi: Neetu, plane mein hai?

KT: haan!! aur mere dimaag yahan pe kitna pareshaan ho raha tha!

Tulsi: chalo phir tum bhi jao, abhi tordhi der mei boarding khatam ho jayega

KT: Maa! aap bhi mere saath reh reh kar paak chuki hain?

Tulsi: dhaat pagali! agar tumhari flight miss hogayi toh phir tum yahi kahogi ke'dekho maa aap ne mujhe jaane nahin diya'

*KT smiles and hugs both her parents*

Mihir *places his hand on her head*: chalo beta, mera saara aashirvaad hai tumhare paas

Tulsi *tears in her eyes hugs her daughter one last time*: aur dekho, khaana theek se khana, aapni health pe dhyaan rakhna, aur har rooz phone karna...

KT *close to crying*: aap bhi aapna khayal rakhna...

*KT says bye to her parents and boards the plane*

Prachi: aagayi madam saiba..aayiye baitiye...aap batane ki kasht karengi ke aap itni der se kahan thi..

KT: stupid! tujhe pata hai ke mein kitni pareshaan thi?

Prachi: aur mei ghadi ka chehra dekh dekh kar-

KT: AUR MAINE KITNI BAAR PHONE KIYA-

Prachi: AUR MAINE BHI KITNI VOICEMAILS DAALI-

*just then a flight hostess walks up to them*

Hostess: please, take off hone wala hai, aap dono please shor mat kijiye

Prachi & KT: sorry ma'am

KT whispering: maine kaha tha chup hone ke liye

Prachi: aab tum chup raho, aathara(18) ghante ki flight hai, abhi soo jao, New York pohonchke bohoti kaam karna hai

KT: haan soo jao...

[later in the day]

*lakshya done with orientation for the day decides with Neev to go partying*

*both drunk, walking down an empty street*

Neev singing:papa kehtien bada naam karega..beta humaara aisa kaam karega....

Lakshya *joins in*: mera ek sapna, hai ek chehra, dekhoon jho usso jhoome bahaaarrrr....

Neev: aabe saala flirtoo ke aulad, kitni ladkiyan hain tumhare peeche...ab yeh nayii ladki se kya karna

Lakshya: arrey yaar...mein soch tha hoon...*lakshya singing besur* bachna ae haseeno, lo main aagaya

Neev: sahi hai bhaii...

*both try to high five each other but miss*

Lakshya: nahin yaar, ek na ek din to settle karna hai, Baa ke liye ek bahu laana hai

Neev: arrey yaar, kyun sochta hai tu itna beta! aanewale aajate hain!

[scene ends with Lakshya and Neev singing on their way home]

[flight lands]

Prachi: AAGAYE!!

*KT still sleeping*

Prachi: KT!! utthoo!!

KT: kya hai neetu!

Prachi: soothi shakal! hum aagaye!

KT*still half sleepy*: ..kahan?

Prachi: uff...Africa!

KT: KYA?!

Prachi: aur nahin toh kya...jab humme New York aana tha toh phir New York pe hi aayenge na?

KT: abhi toh yahan raat hai

Prachi: haan pata nahin agar iss raat mein taxi aasani se milegi ki nahin..

KT: chalo, zaldi chaltien hain humme maa papa ko phone karna bhi hai

Prachi: haan, chalo...

[scene ends with KT & Prachi both get off the flight, grab their baggage, and head towards the taxi stand]

LOCATION: AIRPORT TAXI STAND

[Being well past midnight, KT & Prachi look around the Taxi Stand to find an available Taxi]

KT: Neetu!! dekho vahan pe!

*KT pointing to an empty taxi cab*

Prachi: haan chalo chalte hain, isse pehle koi aur baithle

*KT & Prachi walk to the Taxi cab*

Prachi:umm...excuse, is this taxi available?

man: yes ma'am

Prachi: ok, we need to go to this address

*Prachi hands the man a slip of paper with an apartment address*

man: okay, you ladies have a seat and i'll get you there in no time

*KT n Prachi sit down as the taxi man takes them to their destination*

*they reach the apartment and give the taxi fee*

KT: aacha hua yaar, jo hummne pehle se hi apartment book karvaadiya tha, varna bohoti problems ho jati

Prachi: haan, ab chaabi nikaalo

KT: chaabi toh tumhare paas thi na?

Prachi: KT, yeh koi mazaak karne ka waqt nahin hai, laao, chaabhi do

KT: Neetu! kasam se!, mere paas chabhi nahin hai!!

Prachi: yaad karo KT, zaroor tumne kahin chabhi rakhi hogi!

KT: NAHIN HAI!

Prachi*on the verge of crying*: hey bhagvaan! ab hum kya karenge...

KT: roona maat Neetu, bhagvaan hi humme museebat mein daalta hai aur wohi museebat se nikalta bhi hai...

Prachi: magar hum yahan itni raat main aakele, kya karenge??!!

KT: ek kaam kartien hain, vahan ek phone booth hai, vaheen se kyun na hum lock kholne vaala ko bulaa te' hain...

Prachi: toh phir lock khul jayega?

KT: budhoo! aur nahin toh kya!

*KT and Prachi call up the locksmith to come*

LOCATION: LAKSHYA'S HOUSE

[coming in late after partying Lakshya tip toes into his house hoping no one would notice him coming in]

Lakshya *thinking*: bacch ke rehna bacchu, aaj agar mom ne dekh liye toh band baj jayegi

*Lakshya manages to come into his room just to find his elder brother, Sagar, there*

Lakshya: Bhaiyya, aap?

Sagar: Haan, mom ne mujhe yeh zimidaari sounpi(given) hai ke tujhe aaj bohot daatna hai...

Lakshya: lekin maine toh kuch--

Sagar: dekho Lakshya, yeh der se aana, har roz party karna, aur aise hi awaragiri karna tujhe soot nahin karta...tumhari health pe kya assar hoti hai, tujhe koi fikr hai ki nahin?

Lakshya: Bhaiyaa...masti ke diin yahi toh hote hain, kal kissne dekha hai

Sagar: dekh toh sab kar sakte hain Lakshya, par jee nahin sakte hain...planning toh kuch naam ki cheez hoti hai, na?

Lakshya: yeh planning vlanning ka mujhe kuch nahin maloom...meri aabhi toh yahi last year hai, aur uske baad mein toh dad ke saath office jaane lagunga, aur kya planning karna hai?

*Sagar smiles at his brother's innocence*

Sagar: tu abhi bhi chhota hai, aaj tujhe samaj nahin aaye ga, par ek din toh zaroor...

*Lakshya looks at his brother with a confused look*

Sagar: tu soo ja, mein bhi jaata hoon...goodnight

Lakshya: goodnight Bhaiyya

*Lakshya doozes off on his bed thinking of his brother's words...*

LOCATION: APARTMENT

Prachi: yaar, adha ghanta hogaya yeh aadmi aaya kyun nahin??

KT: pata nahin, mujhe yahan bahar bait ke bohot dar lag raha hai...aur parson college khul raha hai, pata nahin sab kuch set hoga ki nahin

Prachi: lo, aagaya

man: so you have a problem with your lock?

KT: actually we forgot our keys, so we were hoping that you could help us out...

man: well, lets see what I can do for you two...

*after a couple tries the man gets the door unlocked and open*
man: there we go, you two ladies have a good night

KT & Prachi: thank you, good night...

*they both enter the apartment and start looking around*

Prachi: aab suba hote hi, apartment office se key ki copy le lenge

KT: yeh ghar kafi accha hai...

Prachi: abhi papa mummy ko subha phone kar lenge

KT: haan, vara pata chala ke phir se lock out ho jayenge

[scene ends with KT & Prachi unpacking]

NEXT DAY

*KT & Prachi go out to call their parents*

*KT calls home*

Tulsi: hello?

KT: namaste maa!

Tulsi: arrey Krishna! kaisi hai? vahan theek se pohonch gayi? Tumne itni der se kyon phone kiya, beta? Aur Neetu kaisi hai? Sab saman theek se lag gaya? college kabse shuruaat hogi?..tu jawab kyun nahin de rahi hai, ladki!?

KT: maa!

Tulsi: kya hai?

KT: aap mujhe kuch kehna ka mauka kab de rahi hain!, mein yahan theek se pohonch gayi thi, aur Neetu bhi theek hai, woh abhi auntie uncle se baat kar rahi hai...college kal se shuru ho raha hai, aabhi hum jaa rahe hain kuch khane peene ke saman lene ke liye..

Tulsi: accha accha, le aapne papa se bhi baat karle

Mihir: haan Krishna

KT: namaste papa

Mihir: jeeti raho, sab kuch theek hai vahan pe? koi problem toh nahin aayi thi

KT: nahin papa, ab sab kuch theek hai

Mihir:theek hai beta, khoob pardhai likhai mein dhyaan rakhna...lo, tumhari maa kuch baat karna chahati hain

Tulsi: Krishna?

KT: ji maa?

Tulsi: accha, toh zada paisa maat barbad kar, aaj cell phone le le na, tab phir phone karna

KT: theek hai maa, mein raakh thi hoon...

Tulsi: arrey sun! tu theek se khana khate rehna, aur thakurji ki murthi aapne kamre mein rakh de na! aur roz subah uthte hi pooja karna, din acha guzarta hai...

KT: ji maa..

Tulsi: aur kahin mandir aas paas ho, toh vahan bhi chale jaana

KT: ji maa

Tulsi: acchha theek hai, raakh

[ scene ends with KT & Prachi heading out to shop]

LOCATION: LAKSHYA'S HOUSE

*Lakshya still in a deep sleep and Ganga enters his room*

Ganga: LAKSHYA!

Lakshya*still half asleep*: hmm....

Ganga: LAKSHYA! ABHI UTTHO!!

Lakhya: maa...itni subah subah kaun uthta hai...

Ganga: Lakshya subah ke gyara(11) baj gaye aur tum soo rahe ho! mujhe tumse kuch baat karni hai, abhi uttho!

*Lakshya relents for a bit, but finally sits up on his bed and smiles sweetly at his mother*

Ganga: Lakshya--

Lakshya: ji mummy jaan..

*Ganga lightly hits Lakshya on the shoulder*

Ganga: maska maat lago, ab suno, mujhe tumhara yeh raat ka aana pasand nahin, ainda baara baje ke pehle aajana

Lakshya: mom, baara baje pe toh sab kuch shuraat hota hai...

Ganga: mein tumhari ek bhi nahin sunungi! ab zaldi se taiyaar hoja

Lakshya: kahin jaa rahe hain hum?

Ganga: haan, aaj puranmasi(full moon) hai, aur aaj pravichan rakha gaya hai mandir mein

Lakshya: mom!! mandir??!! aap hi jaaiye...

Ganga: Lakshya! tu bhagvaan ke paier(feet) choo lega toh tumhara kuch nahin jayega, badle mein tujhe acchi duayien milegi...

Lakshya: agar aisi baat hai toh phir...

*Lakshya gets up and touches his mom's feet*

Ganga: arrey...kya hai yeh Lakshya

Lakshya: kehtien hai na, maa ke pairon ke neeche jannat hai...jab tak aapki duayien aur aapka ashirvaad saath ho, aur kuch mere liye maii-ne nahin rakhta

*Ganga's eyes fill with tears*

Ganga*lightly slaps Lakshya's cheek*: ...pagal...na jaane kab sudharega

Lakshya: haan..vaise bhi perfection ko improve karna mushkil kaam toh hai hi...

Ganga: aisi baat hai??!!

Lakshya: aur nahin toh kya...

Ganga: aur nahin toh kya ke bacche! zaldi se taiyaar ho! mandir aaj zaroor jaana hai, pata nahin tum kab samjho ge!

Lakshya: iss mei samajh ne ki baat kya hai mom?

Ganga: tu aaj nahin samjhe ga, par jab samaj mein aayega toh tab dekhna...

[scene ends with Lakshya going to get ready]

*Lakshya sitting on the couch waiting for his mom to finish getting ready*

*Lakshya's cell phone rings, it's Neev*

Lakshya: yeah, Neev

Neev: whats going on bro?

Lakshya: nothing man, have to go to the temple in a bit

Neev*laughs*: how'd you get caught up in that

Lakshya: mom's wish

Neev: good luck

Lakshya: kahe ka good luck, pata nahin wahan jaa ke kya karoonga mein

Neev: bhagvaan jaane

Lakshya: bohoti bore hojaounga mein, tu bhi chal

Neev: khud marega aur mujhe bhi marvaega

Lakshya: arrey, jai ke bina veeru kahin gaya tha kabhi?

Neev: sahi hai yaar, mandir mein hi milte hain tab

Lakshya: chal, theek hai, bye

Neev: bye

LOCATION: PRACHI & KT'S APARTMENT

KT: Neetu, chalo aaj mandir chaalte hain, kal college shuruaat hoga, toh kyun na hum bhagvaan ke aashirvaad ke saath shuruaat kare

Prachi: haan, aur vahan se loog bhi miljayenge jo humare college mein jaate honge

*they both head out to the mandir*

LOCATION: MANDIR

[bhajans are being sung in the hall which the panditji is leading, everyone else is either singing along or praying]

*Lakshya & Ganga enter*

*Neev spots Lakshya and walks up to him*

Neev: toh...ab kya?

Lakshya: kasam se yaar, bhagvaan bhi itne bhajan sun sun ke bore ho jaate honge

Neev: seriously...

Lakshya: aur aaj bhi inti ladkiyan nahin aayien

Neev: oye, Basanti!!

*Neev watches a girl(Prachi) near the devi maa idol*

Neev: tumhara toh pata nahin, par mein jaa raha hoon iss devi ka pooja karne ke liye

*Lakshya nods his head in disbelief at his friend's pursuit*

*Neev lightly fixes his hair and walks towards the girl (Prachi)*

Neev: uh, Hi

*Prachi looks at Neev up and down with a confused look*

Prachi: Namaste

Neev: oh, Namaste...lagta hai ke aap yahan pehli baar aayi hain

Prachi: ji, aap ko kaise pata

*Neev quickly lies about himself*

Neev: nahin, mein toh yahan ladkiyon ka pooja..i mean BHAGVAAN ka pooja karne ke liye..har roz aata hoon, aap ko toh pehli baar dekh raha hoon

Prachi: ji, hum abhi abhi India se aaye hain

Neev: bohoti shubh baat hai, aur yahan aane ka kaaran?

Prachi: mei yahan New York University attend karne ke liye aayi hoon

Neev: kya baat hai, woh mera hi toh college hai

Prachi: aap bhi vahan jaate hain

Neev: of course! ..mera matlab, haan mei vahan MBA kar raha hoon...parantu, aap ki classes kab shuru hoti hain?

Prachi: kal se...

Neev: mera bhi, agar aap ko koi si bhi kasht ho, toh phir please aap iss badmash--uh i mean iss bholu ko please yaad karna...

*Neev quickly bows his head before her, which Prachi smiles to*

Neev: vaise, aap ka shubh naam ka hai?

Prachi: humara naam Prachi hai

*Neev smiles, and looks at her directly in the eye*

Neev: pata nahin aap se sundar aap ka naam hai ya khud aap hi

*Prachi's cheeks turn red*

*Neev finds himself staring at her, and quickly regains his senses*

Neev: --uh, kher...mera naam hai Neev ulf Neevu, Neevo...jho bhi...aap hi dekh le na, mera naam aap ke in hoonton pe bohoti saaje ga

*Prachi is taken aback by his flirtatiousness*

Neev: just kidding...aap mujhe kuch bhi bulaa sakti hain...magar iss se pehle aapko toh mera number toh hona chahiye

Prachi: number?

Neev *jokingly* : aur nahin toh kya...aap ki madat karne ke liye sau laash letaa duunga!!

*Prachi shyly giggles*

Prachi: vaise, hum toh yahan naye naye aaye hain, aapki meherbaani hogi agar kal aap humme college mein mile aur tohda classes dhoondne mein madat kare

Neev: yeh bhi koi baat hui, hum zaroor pohonchenge, pukar ke dekho toh sahi...

*Neev takes his hand out for a handshake*

Neev: friends?

*Prachi looks at his hand and hesitates*

Neev: zindagi bhar ke liye haath nahin maang raha hoon...

*Prachi smiles, and gives him a handshake*

Prachi: friends!

*Neev tightly holds her hand and pulls her a little closer to him*

Neev: maine kya kaha tha...nahin, mein toh yeh haath zindagi bhar ke liye nahin chhodunga...

*Prachi shocked, looks into his eyes and watches him slowly smile*

*her heart melts*

*Neev laughes*

Neev: sorry, meri mazak karne ki bohot aadat hai...aapko kissi bhi kaam ke liye zaroorat ho, toh please aap beh fikr kar ke humme phone kar lijiyega

*Prachi takes out her cell phone and takes down Neev's number*

Neev: aur aap ka number kya hai?

Prachi: uh...humme aapki zaroorat jab padegi, toh hum zaroor call karlenge...

Neev: aur agar mujhe aapki zaroorat pade...toh phir hum kya karenge...

Prachi: intezaar!

*Prachi smiles at him one last time and walks away*

*Ganga pulls Lakshya towards the Radha-Krishn idol*

Ganga: Lakshya, please yahan aaye ho, toh phir kam se kam thodi si pooja karlo

Lakshya: mom, mere paas sab kuch hai, ab kya maangu?

Ganga: hamesha kuch na kuch chahiye tumhe, bas pooja karo aur bhagvaan khud tumhe ashirvaad de ga

*Lakshya finally closes his eyes, folds his hands and moves a little closer to the murti to pray*

Lakshya *speaking to God in his mind*: jai shri Krishn, mein aapni zindagi se bohot khush hoon, aur kya maangu, aur--

KT:excuse me...

*Lakshya annoyed, opens his eyes to see who it is that is disturbing him...*

*next to him, stands a simple girl with dark eyes who is peering at him so deeply that it almost gave him the chills*

KT: excuse me, aap mera raasta chhodenge?

*Lakshya realizes that he's blocking the passage of the girl's to move on to the next idol, and apologetically moves to a side*

Lakshya: sorry

KT: thanks

*Lakshya tries to close his eyes again and pray but, when he does, he sees the girl's face in front of him...he quickly opens his eyes and stares at the Radha-Krishn murti*

Lakshya *thinking*: meri mulaqaat toh hazaaron ladkiyon se hoti rehti hain, magar mujhe ek bhi chehra yaad nahin rehta...yeh chehra kyun baar baar mere saamne aa raha hai...

panditji *singing*: ...tu hai har radha ka shayam...shri ram, shri ram...

[scene ends with a focus upon the Radha-Krishnji idols]

[lost, KT&Prachi look around campus for their first class; Neev&Lakshya hang out on campus waiting for their evening classes to start]

*Prachi holding a piece of paper with all the class room numbers*

KT: Neetu, dekho toh sahi ke kahan hai humari pehli class

Prachi: dekh toh rahi hoon, par kuch samajh nahin aa raha hai, jab humara major hi arts hai toh phir humari class kaise business building mein hogi?

KT: ufff...pehle hi din yeh musibaat ho ni thi...laao mujhe do

*Prachi hands the paper to KT, and thinks of what to do*

Prachi: IDEA!

KT: kya?!

Prachi: mujhe ek ladka mila tha kal mandir mein, woh bhi iss college mein jata hai, aur usne kaha tha ke jab bhi koi problem ho toh phone karde na

KT: Neetu!! hum kissi ajnabi ki madaat kaise le sakte hain??

Prachi: KT! woh ajnabi nahin hai, woh mera dost hai!

KT: DOST?? tumne ladke se dosti ki hai??

*Prachi takes out her phone and starts dialing Neev's number*

Prachi: aur nahin toh kya, mei tumhari tarah behenji nahin hoon, ab chup raho

KT: NEETU!! tum--

Prachi: SHHHHH.....

Neev: ..hello?

Prachi: ji, kya mein ..Neev se baat kar sakti hoon..

*Neev quickly sits up*

Neev: Prachi?!

Prachi: ..hi... humme aapni classes nahin mil rahi hain, campus thoda bada sa hai aur--

Neev: Bas?! mein aabhi aata hoon, aap bataiye ke aap iss waqat kahan hain?

Prachi: Mein yahan business building ke bahar hoon...

Neev: aap vahin teheriye mein dou min. mein aata hoon...

Prachi: ji..bye

*Neev hangs up with a huge grin on his face and Lakshya stares at him with a confused look*

Lakshya: kya baat hai bhai...koi lottery jeet li hai kya?

Neev: ladki ne bulaya hai!

Lakshya: Ladki?? hah! koi wrong number hoga

Neev: abbe nahin yaar! woh mandir wali yaad hai...

*Lakshya starts to think of the girl's face again (KT)*

*Lakshya slowly smiles*

Lakshya: usko kaise bhool sakta hoon mei...

Neev: abbe oye..tu ne kab se setting karli Prachi ke saath??

Lakshya: Prachi? yeh Prachi kaun hai?

Neev: arrey yaar, ussi ke baare mein baat kar raha hoon mein, tu na jaane kisske baare mein baat kar raha hai...ab chal

Lakshya: kahan??

*Neev looks back with a huge smile on his face*

Neev: milna nahin hai aapni bhabhi se??

*Lakshya and Neev head out to meet Prachi*

KT: tujhe pata bhi hai ke ladka kaisa hai aur kya hai, agar woh aisa vaisa karne lage toh hum kya karenge?!

Prachi: nahin KT, woh aisa nahin, bohoti sweet hai

KT: aacha! humme yahan aaye ek mahina nahin hua aur tumne abhi se hi ladka dhoond liya! uncle auntie kya kahenge?!

Prachi: KT! aisa kuch nahin hai, woh mera dost hai aur woh meri madaat kar raha hai, isse bhardh kar kuch nahin!

KT: hmmmm...dekh lenge

*Prachi smiles*

*someone taps Prachi on the shoulder*

[scene ends with Prachi turning around to see who it is]

*Prachi instantly smiles*

Neev: kaisi ho?

Neev: aap se jo mila hoon...

*Neev and Prachi continue to smile at each other*

Lakshya: *ahem*

Neev: oh...aur yeh mera sabse jigri, sabse dildaar dost...Lakshya

Prachi: hi

*Lakshya smiles*

Prachi: aur yeh hai meri best friend, Krishna Tulsi

*Prachi grabs KT and turns her around to face Lakshya & Neev*

*Lakshya's eyes suddenly grow large as his eyes meet a familar pair of dark brown eyes*

*Flashbacks of the girl from the temple come into Lakshya's mind*

*Lakshya realizes its the same girl from the temple and continues to stare at her*

*KT looks away with disinterest*

Neev: Hi, nice to meet you Krishna Tulsi, mera naam Neev hai

*KT wryly smiles*

Lakshya *thinking*: Krishna Tulsi...Kisna ki Tulsi...

*Lakshya stares on at KT forgetting that anyone is even around*

Neev: well, jab hum sab mil hi gaye toh chalien aapki classes dhoondne?

*KT catches Lakshya staring at her...he doesn't seem to take his eyes off of her*

*Lakshya looks on at KT thinking what it is about her*

SCENE 7

Recap: Neev milta hai Prachi se college mein, vahan Lakshya ki nazar bhi milti hai ek jaani pehchaani aankhon se...ab aage...

KT *thinking*: yeh ladka mujhe kyun dekhe jaa raha hai...

*Neev looks over at Lakshya who has his eyes fixated on Krishna Tulsi*

Neev: umm...Lakshya, agar tumhe MBA ki pardhai chhod kar aur Krishna Tulsi ki aankhon ko pardhna hai toh humme koi problem nahin, kyun Krishna Tulsi?

*Lakshya looks away with embarrasment*

*KT sternly looks at Lakshya*

Lakshya: Im sorry, pata nahin kahan kho gaya tha

*KT looks away*

Lakshya *with embarrasment*: uh, hi, Im Lakshya Virani

*Lakshya holds his hand out infront of KT for a handshake*

*KT looks at Lakshya's hand and back at Lakshya expressionlessly*

KT: mein ladkon se dosti nahin karti

*KT suddenly turns away and starts walking fast towards the business building*

*Lakshya stands there dumbfounded, for it is the first time a girl has refused to be his friend, moreover talk to him!*

*Prachi goes after KT first as Neev and Lakshya slowly walk behind*

Prachi: KT!!... KT!!.. KT, meri baat toh suno

*KT stops walking fast and turns towards her friend*

KT: Neetu, mujhe isse dosti nahin karni

Prachi: magar kyun? Lakshya mein burayi kya hai?

KT: dekha nahin woh kaisa ghuur ghuur(staring) se dekh raha tha mujhe? aur vaise bhi, mujhe kissi bhi ladke se dosti nahin karni

*Lakshya walks up behind KT*

Lakshya: ab...yeh toh bataiye ke dosti se inkaar hai yah mujhse...

KT*turns towards Lakshya*: dono se!

Lakshya*now smiling*: itna bhi buraa nahin hoon mein...kyun Prachi?

*Prachi smiles back at Lakshya and looks over at KT*

KT: mein itni jaldi ajnabiyon se dosti nahin karti

Lakshya: accha ok theek hai, toh phir hum ajnabi hi sahi*moves his face closer to KT's smiles and whispers*...baad mei tum khud hi mera haath dhoondo gi...

KT: KYA?! khud ko samajte kya ho?

*Lakshya starts laughing*

Lakshya: jo hai vahi toh mein samjhunga...

*KT holds her hand to protest but get interrupted*

Neev:OK OK..tum dono baad mein lardte rehna magar aabhi hum kuch kaam ki liye aaye hain toh woh karle!

*KT folds her arms and looks away*

*Lakshya smiles and melts at KT's angry face*

Prachi: haan, chalo KT...

*KT angirly walks ahead, Prachi walks with Neev as Lakshya trails behind*

Prachi: sorry Neev, KT itni ehsaani se kissiko bhi trust nahin karti, aur ladko ke mamle mein--

Neev*laughs*: vaise humare Lakshya bhaisaab itni ehsaahi se haar nahin maante...aur lakdkiyon ke mamle mein toh bilkul hi nahin
