In fact they have devised a plan to skip this ritual. The shots will be shown in close-up, and the actresses will tie rakhis to unit hands' wrists, instead of the actors' wrists. (This leaves the actors free to flirt with their heroines.) Hiten Tejwani says, "It's sounds funny, but it's true. None of us wants a rakhi from the actresses because even if it is for the show, we respect the tradition. So, we have thought of plan. At least, I have told my on-screen sister Ritu Chaudhary very clearly about our plan. She is obviously very amused."He adds, "The funniest part is that Raksha Bandhan has already gone, and we shot for it only yesterday. It will go on-air next week. We are lagging behind in this respect, but we are having really good fun." Says a source on the sets, "It's quite amusing to see the stars getting wary of rakhi. All the actresses are having fun chasing all the actors who are trying to escape from them. Boys do not want the rakhi because they respect the bond of brother and sister, while their equation off-screen is very different. So whenever an actress is required to tie a rakhi, the actor concerned puts forward an unit member's hand. In close-up shots, viewers won't be able to make out the difference." A string of key actors who had disappeared from the big family show, are returning into the fold of Virani family for this special celebration. Shilpa Saklani (Ganga) will enter after one-and-a-half years of absence, Gauri Pradhan (Nandini) is coming back after almost one year and Ritu Chaudhary (Shobha) will be seen after two years.
