DesiClub (via DesiXpress) talked to VJ Salil of B4U Music on his success as a talented TV host and the Mumbai based TV VJ was pleased to let out a few inner secrets.

How did you become a VJ and what's the most exciting thing about it?
"Ha ha, well you see in 2003, I won the title of India's hottest man (AXN Nation wide 'Hot and Wild' competition) and then just out of the blue B4U TV happened to call me, so I went for this job they had going because talking is all I know and VJing is all talk and man do I talk (laughs), I get a buzz from the work I do. I love presenting and it's amazing."

On asking the VJ whiz-kid about how he finds performing in front of the cameras he told us as he chuckled in his chair, "Well it's easy to perform in front of the camera and how do I keep composed, first of all, I don't stay composed and as far as the camera is concerned it is like my second skin."

VJ Salil is one of the most funkiest and most jazziest TV hosts that you will ever come across on Asian Music TV channels, he's cool, suave and delicious. He said only three things about his dress sense, which he calls his magic C's, "Comfortable, Cool and Catchy... that's all my friend." Did you know at one point the young VJ had to wait for 7 hours to interview Bollywood film actor Mr. Anupam Kher when he was apparently just 15 minutes away.

Sail told us that Sushmita Sen and Amitabh Bachchan (in that order) were his two favorite stars that he'd interviewed to date and his most memorable moment was well erm (any guess?) yes you got it... interviewing the one and only former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen. "Gosh, I'm crazy about her man, you gotta believe me." Salil's a bit of a ladies man and he said his 3 favorite celebrity women were Sushmita Sen, Perizaad Zorabian and Aishwarya Rai. (The list continued, but sorry we only asked for three, may be next time?) The popular VJ said he would most probably use the following chat-up line: "So what's a day like in your life..." as his favourite pick up line.

Salil has modelled for a few fashion houses and his favourite designer brand and fashion label is the Italian empire 'Diesel'. "Yes Sohan, I am a designer baby yaar!" On his love for women and clothes he said that he would most like to be trapped on a deserted island with "The more the merrier... I'd be really lonely stuck with just one woman." Favourite music, artists and film stars? "House, Rob Thomas, Amitabh Bachchan, Al Pacino and Robert De Niro" (hmmm a bit of a Godfather fanatic). If you could change one thing and just one thing about yourself what would it be? "Nothing, I'm happy the way I am."
