The queen of soaps and the weepy 'bahu' may be headed for a reunion. Well, Ekta Kapoor hints that television's favourite 'bahu' Smriti Irani might finally be back!
Have Smriti Irani and Ekta Kapoor kissed and made up? Smriti says, "As far as I know, when it comes to 'Kyuki', it's Ekta Kapoor who makes the call. So she would know about this more than me." This was probably the first signal that 'Kyunki saas bhi kabhi bahu thi' was all set to go back to its original avatar with Tulsi or rather Smriti Irani making a much awaited comeback.
If that was a sign, then it's a full blown green signal from none other than Ekta Kapoor herself on Tulsi's comeback. Ask this to the lady herself, Ekta Kapoor, and she says, "I would love to have Tulsi back. I will definitely speak to her and see if she's coming back."
It certainly seemed like there was no trace of the supposed animosity between the TV queen and televisions most loved character, Smriti Irani, at a media event in Mumbai. Well, of course, everyone in the glamour industry claims to be fond of each other but in this case it looks pretty genuine.
With all this camaraderie and audiences practically baying for Tulsi's return, it looks like it may just be a matter of time before Tulsi is back on the airwaves. With practical confirmations from both the powerhouses, it looks like the viewers were right. According to a TIMES NOW poll conducted shortly after Tulsi's demise, 80% of viewers expected to see Tulsi back in her role again while 72% of viewers believed that Tulsi's exit was a predetermined move.
But, the question is how Tulsi will make a comeback? Whether it will be in one of the classic styles of bringing back the dead, or perhaps Ekta will have a slightly imaginative take for one of her most loved characters. That signalled that Tulsi might just make a comeback.
And with Smriti Irani not exactly going great guns with her new serial 'Virrudh', looks like it's time to move back to the mother ship.
