Daksha turns a year older
It was business as usual for Ketki Dave on her birthday (June 23). We caught up with the actress, who plays Daksha Virani in Kyunki. She was busy shooting for her serial as well as rehearsing for her play.
It was business as usual for Ketki Dave on her birthday (June 23). We caught up with the actress, who plays Daksha Virani in Kyunki. She was busy shooting for her serial as well as rehearsing for her play.
Ketki Dave says, "I haven't made any birthday plans. I've been shooting for Kyunki and after that I'm going to rehearse for my Gujarati play, Ek Chaturnar, in which my husband, Rasik Dave, is also taking part. Later in the night my family and I plan to go out for dinner to the Taj."
Unlike her over the top character, Ketki prefers her birthday's simple. "I like to celebrate in a sober way. Daksha Virani would want to celebrate her birthday on a grand scale and deck herself up but not Ketki Dave."
Her daughter, Riddhi Dave, tells us her plans for her mom. She says, "I wished my dearest mother a very happy birthday. I'm giving my mom a nice big card and some western clothes as she likes them. I'm planning to shop at a store called Options in Lokhandwala. All these small things like gifts don't really matter to her. For my mom, family is first priority so making her happy is the most important thing."
Ketki recalls a very special birthday a while ago. She says, "It was during our initial years in the industry when our financial condition was not that great. Even so, Rasik brought me a diamond ring which is still precious to me. It was a big surprise for me as I didn't expect it. My birthdays are always memorable as long as I'm with my family."
5 things Ketki will make sure happen on her birthday:
• Touch my mother's feet early in the morning
• No work! only relaxing at my house
• Have my daughter with me
• Have Rasik always say "I love you" to me, especially on my birthday
• Go for a long drive with Rasik
