| Reshmi Ghosh aka Bhoomi of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi is back to modelling, with the blessings of Balaji. The actress has got special permission from Balaji's big boss Shobha Kapoor, so that she can get time off from the daily soap Kyunki Saas bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi for her modelling assignments.
The actress has walked the ramp for two consecutive shows for NIFD, followed by special appearances in several shows. Reshmi says, "I am really happy that I am back where I belong. Walking the ramp after a long time was a blissful experience for me."
Reshmi who was crowned Miss India Earth in 2002 was a successful model. To realise her acting aspirations, the actress went on to sign Balaji's Kyunki…. Naturally, she did not gauge the working pressure of the television industry and it left her with time for nothing except Kyunki…. Needless to say, her modelling career came to an abrupt halt.
Reshmi used to shoot day in and day out for Kyunki Saas bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi earlier. Now, she shoots for five hours a day. "Now, Kyunki… is focussing on other characters. So, I have ample time for my passion," adds Reshmi.
With the resurrection of her modelling career, is she on her way to quit Kyunki…? "Bhoomi's character has given me a lot of recognition. They are really supportive; and for that reason I will always be with Kyunki…," Reshmi says.
Now, with Shobha Kapoor's advice, she is balancing her career between acting and modelling simultaneously.
"Shobhaji is really a nice person. She has advised me that this is the time when we should work as hard as possible. I gave it a thought, and now I am back in the modelling arena," she says.
Although Reshmi has left modelling, she is still in great shape, all thanks to her strict health regime. Naturally, offers have started pouring in. "I've got a lot of offers, but the industry is yet to know about my comeback. I am also going to Mauritius for a show," she adds. |
