New Tulsi?

Here's the biggest shocker of the year. The buzz is that Smiti (Tulsi) Irani is being replaced by Gautami Gadgil (actor Ram Kapoor's wife), in Ekta Kapoor's Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.

While Smriti is crying herself hoarse saying things are fine between her and Kapoor, the story about Smriti's replace-ment appears to have come straight from Balaji.

Is this Ekta's way of spanking a naughty Tulsi, proving that no one is indispensable?

HiTLIST doles out bouquets and brickbats for those who attended the wedding of the year, and ever those who didn't quite make it.

The ever-dignified Hema Malini, who was invited to the AbhiAsh wedding, didn't attend since her daughters Esha and Ahana hadn't been invited (sort of silly, no?).

Randhir Kapoor, who was also invited, chose not to attend and spent the evening with his wife Babita (it was her birthday) and their two daughters, Karisma and Kareena.

What were Raj Kanwar and Ramesh Taurani doing there, when A-listers and supposed good friends like Rakesh Roshan and the Khans (Feroz, Fardeen, Saif, etc.) weren't invited? Sure, AbhiAsh did Kanwar's Dhai Akshar Prem Ke together, but at that time AB Jr was dating Karisma Kapoor, no?

Jodha Akbar director Ashutosh Gowariker and his wife Sunita were also invited, but Ash's co-star Hrithik Roshan was strangely given the miss. Why?

Ajay Devgan, Sunil Shetty and Sanjay Dutt — the trio that raised the maximum objections over Abhi's choice of dulhan — were togged in all their wedding finery and danced at the sangeet and as baraatis (except Sunil who was busy attending to his mother-in-law Vipula Kadri who had fallen very ill on Thursday morning and was hospitalised). Such a sweet case of hypocrisy, no?

Dimple Kapadia, whose daughter Twinkle and damaad Akshay Kumar was studiously left out, merrily attended all the functions. The 'not without my family' stance doesn't apply here!

Ram Gopal Varma, who NEVER attends any social functions, was happily smiling for the photogs. Selective snobbery?

Kirron Kher, who was supposedly snubbed by Abhishek's friends before the sangeet, attended all the functions pretending as if nothing had happened.

Ash control

We recently told you about Canadian author Valerie Gibson's book Cougar: A Guide for Older Women Dating Younger Men, and how we think Ash fits the wildcat description to the T. Guess what?

Abhi really is a 'cub' when it comes to his ladycat!

A source close to AB Jr called to shed some light on the equation between the couple while they were courting.

"During a schedule of Jhoom Barabar Jhoom last year, Ash dropped in to visit Abhi on the sets.

She then played a prank by pretending to flirt with another man over the phone. Abhi was so upset when he saw Ash flirting with someone else that he was literally in tears.

He looked like a lovesick puppy! Of course, Ash later told him it was only a joke."

Now you know who's got the upperhand in this relationship, don't you? :-)
