In the Kyunki Saas Bhi… Akashdeep Saigal oscillates between bad boy and good boy. As Ansh he was bad, as his son Eklavya he is good but probably will be bad again. But in real life Akashdeep is deeply spiritual.
He says, "Before leaving the house I pray to Bhagwan Shiv and chant "Om Namah Shivaya". Even while entering the Balaji Studio I chant the Shiv shloks. I go to Shiv temple every Monday. I wear the rudraksha mala around my neck. It is said that by wearing this mala one will be protected from the evil forces i.e. the rahukaal. In my living room I have hung a big framed picture of OM."
Has he visited the prominent Shiv temples in India?
"Yes I have gone to Kashi, Varanasi, as it is the main dham for all the Shiv bhakts. I 'm basically very religious, during the month of Shravan (July-August) I keep upwas (fasts) on Mondays."
Does he believe in the Karma theory of good and bad?
"Yes I believe in the Karma theory."
So from causing mayhem, rape and terror onscreen, in real life Akashdeep Saigal believes in the good and God.
