* damini defending the celebrations was sweet. i mean, kt was to be engaged to her son, eklavya - and he is sitting and weeping in the temple. yet, damini happily participates in the family function.
hmm, of course, this could be explained by brain-dead scriptwriters who don't maintain any continuity. but hey! it could be sweet too? š
* nakul with ganga-mom - sweet! nakul is confused and sweet. this is a character that is more complex, but just as good as lakshya. š³
* the lakshya-kt scene of 15 mar -- there's no way i can call it sweet, but my points to ponder post was already so long. so i'm putting my comments here along with a statutory warning: gush-switch on!!
lakshya came across like his entire world has been destroyed. he was superb! right from how his words tumbled into each other, how he couldn't speak, how his whole focus came down to saying "tell me, is there something you're hiding from me?" this is the normally cool, articulate lakshya -- there was no way you couldn't sympathise with him.
and the way kt got to tell him she was assaulted. that was superb too. her clutching onto his hand, close to her mouth, was a grand touch - it was as if one part of her was being compelled to try to use his hand to stop her own words.
* the only thing that i pondered on was she shouted it out - didn't the entire temple hear? or was there too much celebration noise going on?
* how many of you had their heart plummet when lakshya first jerked his hand out of kt's clutches?
* how many of you died at the sound of the lakshya virani voice when he wondered how kt loved him but still hadn't understood him? it was such a small, wounded scratch voice, in stark contrast with his near hysteria earlier. and the way it hardened when he talked about the assaulter. and the way it firmed up when he said "come. shantiniketan is waiting for you."
someone please start an lv-voice-anonymous group!! š
i could go on, but it's probably really boring. okay, gush-switch off.
* nandini's small smile at lakshya-kt was sweet. most of the times i really think she wants these two to be happy, even though she is pessimistic about them. š
despite what every nandini fan(atic) thinks, i think nandini is a complex character who is much beyond what most people on this forum write as. i don't think her beauty is in the fact that karan-nandini love each other or have held on to that love for 20 years. both these characters (as others) haven't dealt with the past well, don't deal with the present well either. they are flawed, not noble.
but that's okay. that's the way the world is. they are still people who are good despite all their past hurt, which is admirable. there are people like ansh who take past hurt and become despicable. karan became a rotten parent, nandini is horribly pessimistic about life - but that is better than getting vile like ansh. i just wish people would stop treating them like they are noble. they aren't. they're just people. and sometimes, are sweet people too! š
did i miss anything? š
