FYI- Just reminding you, that Tulsi , Krishna and Bhoomi are related in my FF, and Eklavya and Lakshya, the two groups are not related. They are two DIFFERENT families. Just so you don't get confused.
"Bhoomi, your are such a late sleeper, please get up. The Larke wale are coming. This is the fourth group which has come to ask you for your hand, can you please get up and get ready."
"Dadi, let me sleep na. I don't want to parade in front of unknown people, it makes me feel like a horse."
Tulsi smiled, "Jaan, it is not like that, don't forget, you are the one who rejects them, not the other way around"
"Oh Dadi, go bother Krishna, she has become of marrying age as well, leave me alone for a while, and go bother her."
Bhoomi realized what she said, and sprung quickly up to face her Dadi's forlorn face.
"Dadi, I am so sorry. I know that Krishna has been rejected many times do to her inability to speak, but Dadi, it's their fault, they are unable to see Krishna's inner beauty, the beauty that words cannot even describe."
"Bhoomi, beti, if the whole world thought like you, there would be shanti. I do not know what the future holds for Krishna, and that breaks my heart enough. When your parents died, they placed both of your lives into my hands, and now, I don't know what to do with them. I wish to give both of you happiness, both of you a future full of love, but I do not understand how." Tulsi did not know she was crying until she felt a tear trickle down her cheek.
Bhoomi reached out and smoothed away her wet cheek. "Dadi, you have given both of us happiness, freedom, and love, we don't need any more."
"Bhoomi, you and Krishna are young, and I am not. I want to make sure that before I die, both of you are in good hands."
"Dadi, don't worry, everything will be alright."
"I hope so Bhoomi."
Right then they heard footsteps. Bhoomi wiped her tears, Tulsi quickly managed to erase her pain, and paste a plastic smile upon her lips, as Krishna strolled into the room, her face illuminated with happiness.
That was the most endearing quality that Krishna possessed. She managed to be happy, all the time, for no reason. There was always a smile on her lips, and a sparkle in her eye. It made Tulsi's heart break, knowing that nobody wanted her. She had so much more to offer then just her zuban.
"Krish, baby, why are you so happy?" Bhoomi asked.
Krishna held up a picture of a bride, one she found in a wedding magazine. She held it up, pointed to the picture, then pointed to Bhoomi.
Tulsi saw Krishna's smile, and also saw the sad gleam in Krishnas eyes, but refused to say anything.
"Krishna, tumhare didi ko bolo, that she quickly get up and get ready. They will be here soon, I asked them to come for lunch."
Krishna ran to the cupboard, and started sorting through Bhoomi's clothing, she found a sweet blue suit, embroidered with small silver flowers. She ran back to the bed with it and held it up to her body, while pointing back and forth between the dress and Bhoomi.
"Okay baba, I will wear that outfit" Bhoomi said, as she got up to go to the bathroom.
Krishna laid the dress down on the bed, and went to the jewelry box to search for matching accessories.
Tulsi looked on, praying to god to send Krishna her prince charming, just then she heard a knock on the door.
