For the past week, i have been beginning to loathe Lakshya-KT too... I agree with psawyer with the no chemistry part... But what can i say, i saw a glimmer of hope in them in the start, their sceenes were the best (uptil the fire scene...I maintain that uptil the fire scene, they had it going for them....No doubts abt tht) and I guess I'm just holding on to those expectations, hoping for the best for the fututre....Whenever that may be... Which at this rate will be in about 3 years, when i have to leave for my MBA and will have no TV set to watch their fledgeling love story...

But more seriously, dont you think KT's character should be more hard to get, instead of a blushing, smiling, quivering mess every time the guy comes within a 5 mile radius of her...?

I think Lakshya finds her waaay too easy...She needs to toughen up a bit.. Thats what makes Bhoomi and Abhir so passionate, in my opinion.... The fact that she is a no nonsense, "im not impressed by your BS" attitude...
The fact that she rebels back, when Abhir makes a move.... Same thing with Prem and Mukti...Mukti didnt back down and smile and blush, she stood up and fought with Prem... KT needs to do more of that than just push her hair behind her ears and smile....

Well said! KT should play hard to get...that would motivate Lakshya to woo her, which would make them more interesting. I like couples that are different and complex....goody goody couples get boring for me. One of the reasons I like Abhir-Bhoomi is because of Bhoomi's attitude towards Abhir, and his ways of trying to "win" her. If he had pretended to be a goody-two-shoes and she had accepted him without any hestitation or bantering, and they had started having staring competitions and typical "romantic" moments, I would have found them boring too. Same goes for Prem and Mukti. They were never, ever boring to me.

yeah exactly. Goody goody characters are so boring anyway, and when you get two of them together, and attempt to make a love story, and there is no friction, you just think....meh, whats the point?

Also, the audience also likes the chase element of a love story - the fights, the nok-jhok, I call them the "Basanti" moments, because Prem and Mukti practically lived that term😆. It is those scenes which gets the viewer thinking "I really want those two together". It is those things that make you look forward to every scene of that jodi. And it is those things that help give a viewer satisfaction when the jodi finally does get together.

It doesn't matter who the two chars are - like mother-son, enemy vs enemy, bro-sis, but if there isn't even an indication of chemistry or friction, you just don't engage with them.

Like I said earlier, either KT or Laksh need to be stronger than they are shown right now. I remember the first few eps after the leap - in Haridwar, or even when KT first came to Mumbai: then, I could see the potential. But the whole "Chilgoose" aspect gets old after a while. Someone needs to say or do something. Dunno why, but I think Ekta's given up on their story - I wonder what happened to the whole KT-Laksh-Manthan angle: now THAT would be interesting. At least it would kickstart this stalled "love story"

All of those "Basanti" moments rocked. There was a reason why PM got the "Favourite Yogya Jodi" award...they always kept the audience entertained.

I completely agree on this:

Lakshya and KT need a twist to to make them interesting...I too, like the idea of a triangle between Lakshya-KT-Manthan...in fact, ever since Manthan started taunting KT with his "Miss Gawar" comments, I've wanted that triangle! 😉

If you guys watched todays Karam Apna Apna episode, OMG you will see the sheeeeeeeeeer energy and passion in tht jodi of shiv and gauri... Its a one sided energy tho, with it being Iqbal's show all the way.... But omg i was watching tht episode and the mere energy and tension and friction in that scene, you should know that something should happen between Lakshya and KT that causes hatred between them and then the scenes will be *gasp* no words for it....
I mean look at it... All the greatest jodi's we've had started out hating each other...

1. Angad and Kripa (the initial episodes.... after Amit Tandon left, the whole drama lost its shine) [KYPH]
2. Prem and Mukti....[KZK]
3. Shiv and Gauri...[KAA]
4. Pratham and Gauri...[KUTUMB]
5. Kajjal and Dev...[KAJJAL]
6. Ashi and YUVI [REMIX] okie thts not really hatred, but still they have this amaazing chemistry....

Need more proof? 😉

I haven't seen KAA yet, but will do. IQ is another actor who has amazing screen presence, so whoever he is with, that scene automatically becomes rocksome.

Manoj Bohra (Prem) is another such char, his scenes with Prerna also show such AMAZING energy and power that they really make you believe that he is her son.

KT and Laksh don't have that. Even with Tulsi, KT is.....so-so. And neither do these two have that screen presence that people like MB, IQ, Eijaz Khan etc have, so that makes all the difference.

only if they were given some screen time would they be able to show their screen presence....at the moment they just have staring scenes, which are extremely boring. I mean, how long can you stare at people staring??? 😆

Exactly! 😆 😆 😆 Somewhere, it IS the writers fault for not giving them any good scenes...I mean, I'm sick to death of these "Do I love him? What is this feeling?" dialogues....get to it already....most jodis are already at the undying love stage by now 😆 😆 😆
