Kyunki TV stars are superstitious
October 4, 2006
We decided to put the theory to test. Here's what some top small-screen celebs had to say:
Shilpa Saklani
I'm not really superstitious. I will not follow something if there is no logic to it. They say you must not cut your hair at night, for instance. One doesn't disbelieve such things completely though, because there is always some kind of science attached. They haven't come out of nowhere. I am not rigid though. If I remember, I avoid cutting my hair at night. If I don't remember, I cut it. I cannot lead my life keeping all that in mind. I have never been worried about wearing a particular colour on a particular day. I find all that nonsensical. Life is already complicated, why complicate it more?I do follow certain things, like not buying a new car or house during 'pitrupaksh', or praying for ancestors. However, if a friend's birthday were to fall in this period, I wouldn't think twice about buying a gift. I am fine with signing contracts during this period. I don't get bogged down by superstition.
