Ansh loses his locks

Akashdeep Sehgal re-entered Kyunkii...as Eklavya in a new look and a change of heart

The last time you saw him it was in his red-stained white suit and tousled hair at the receiving end of a Valtro pistol. But Akashdeep Saigal alias Ansh Gujral, as you would better know him, is back to add some spice in the Virani household. This time however he resurfaced, sans the long locks and menacing look. In his new look he is clean-shaven and sports a short crop. Akashdeep has done away with his pony-tail and beard in keeping with the new character Eklavya that he plays in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. The difference does not end with him cropping his locks – there is a change in heart too. Akashdeep will be playing a positive role as Ansh's son Eklavya this time round.

"It's going to be an all new experience. I think it's far more challenging to play a positive character as I'm initially going to be a mama's boy, romantic to some extent and then misunderstood," says Akashdeep.

Akashdeep says his entry this time was very special, as he is shown doing a Ganpati Puja. "It was not be as grand or dramatic as Ansh's, but a spiritual touch makes it big for me," he says. So does he miss playing the negative Ansh, which, in fact, has been Akashdeep's claim to fame? He says, "Of course I do, more so when I look into the mirror!" He adds, "But I am confident that Eklavya will rock."

Eklavya Who?

Eklavya is Ansh's son. Eklavya is a very different from his late father, Ansh. Eklavya is a positive character. But the most unfortunate thing in his life is that he has his father's face making it very tough for anyone in the family to believe him or trust him. Eklavya has all the good qualities that Tulsi possesses. He sorts out the problems amongst his cousins. He tries bringing them together. He is close to Archita (Mohini and Harsh's daughter). He is protective about Mayank. He is the elder brother in the family. He is spiritually inclined. His introduction was done yesterday in the episode with Ganesh idol sthapna in Shanti Niketan.
