While each channel claims its show to be the best and the most popular, rediff.com decided to find out the truth. Digging into market research statistics -- TRPs provided by TAM Media Research for the last week of July -- we found out who stands where.

Here's a look at the top 10 Hindi shows on television:

Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi

Channel: Star Plus
Producers: Balaji Telefilms
Time: Monday to Friday, 10:30 pm
TVR: 12.84

It's been the numero uno of the Indian television industry for more than five years now. To its credit, Kyun Ki still has magical magnetic powers that attract viewers from age 8 to 80.

Now with the introduction of the new generation including Balaji's latest find -- Mouni Roy (left, Krishna Tulsi) the serial looks all set to rule the scene for another few years at least. Or until the time viewers get sick and tired of the perennial list of problems bugging the Virani family.
