Doubles or Duplicates whats up with that?

I am a lil slow but juz wanted to know that how do they use a double or a duplicate if that same person is doing the scene, for instance on the friday epsiode tulsi's back was used as a double , but wat was the point if she was talking to karan the whole time

Can someone please explain it too me, i dont get it

so basically they repeat the same scenes over again
once when tulsi is there they use a karan duplicate then when karan is there they use tulsi duplicate

Yep, even the second mihir-tulsi's meeting in that temple was also shot in this way.

If any of you don't see it, check this: You can see a black thread on tulsi's neck when we see her face. This black thread disappears when they show her back!
