No no to dress code!

Student dilemmas are limitless! This time it's not about packing in extra books or the fierce competition of grabbing the first rank, but the hard and fast dress code system in some renowned colleges! Students, fresh out of school simply get attracted by the whims and fancies of colleges, but little do they know about these customs which is all set to break their fantasies.

But are these rules reasonable? Riya V Anandwala talks to a few ladies from our television industry and here's their take on this hot issue!

Tassnim Sheikh

Huh??? Is there a dress code in Mumbai colleges? I was not aware of any system of this sort? I don't approve of it. It's ridiculous to have dress codes in colleges; they are treating universities like schools! And especially in rains they should give the girls some leeway. At least capris and sleeveless tops should be allowed, keeping their comfort level in mind.

By limiting a girl's clothing, you are taking away their right to freedom. Everyone has their right to freedom so why separate those girls? Just because they live in india? What the hell! People r so immature. They should let the girls wear what they want. By not doing so, they r taking away their right of freedom to wear what they want. Today, clothes. Tommorow, Abortion. Don't these people see? The trend continues. Once you take away the right to wear the clothing they want, you start taking away more of their freedom rights. Like: you can't wear black jeans, No white shirts or even comments like "ur dress is so bright, it hurts my eye. wear a less bright dress 2morrow." things like these happen. So I say NO MORE DRESS CODE!

btw, thanks for sharing =].
