Ok time for my Bhashan …..here goes nothing 😆
"What Does Kyunki mean to me?" My mind is practically blank when I ask myself this question. What can KSBKBT mean to me,after all, its just a show….no, I realize, its not "just a show" anymore…its been 6 years, and there is a sense of pride within my voice when I tell people that I've been watching since the beginning…..
The beginning . 3rd July 2000 . 7 months 3 days and 10 hours into the new millennium , a super-hit show began. This show was none other than KSBKBT. I remember being at my Nani's house, Star Plus was on, and she was watching Kaun Banega Crorepati (At that time, there were no Kekta soaps on air. Though I remember Saans Being a really popular soap. But, that was about it..)
After KBC ended, KSBKBT started. Since I had nothing better to do, I stuck around to watch Kyunki. The first time I heard the title track of KSBKBT , I loved it. In those days title tracks were shown before the serial started. I also thought that Tulsi (or the "aunty in the blue green saree") was very pretty. So I instantly became a Smriti fan. I loved those first few wpisodes, I remember how it began with Baa's birthday, and Tulsi and Mihir were the only 2 people who remembered(and her husbanf, Godhaveran Virani)…
Before I knew it, I was completely into the whole storyline, my parents were dead against me watching it ,since they thought that it was not meant for children , and that 10.00 pm was way past my bedtime anyhow. IT took a lot of convincing, but I finally convinced my parents to let me watch KSBKBT.
From that moment till today, there was no looking back…
There have been some wonderful moments since the first episode of Kyunki, some funny, some over dramatically sad, but all nonetheless memorable. I loved all the romantic scenes between Smriti and Amar, they shared a rocking on screen chemistry. The fights between Tulsi and Savita were also amazing, I loved the way they shared a bitter-sweet relationship, and I still miss that. There were times when I sobbed my heart out in front of the TV screen, esp. when Mihir died.(and after that, his coming back was also a wonderful scene.) The first leap was interesting, Tulsi;s finding out about Mihir and Mandys relationship, and her confession to Savita, that scene still has a special place in my heart. After ages of that scene being telecasted I still remember Tulsis dialogues …the way she said…"nahi maa, ap kisi ko nahin kehna, meray baa ke liayay, meri baa mar jayay gee!" .It felt great when Kyunki completed 1000 episodes. The 10001th episode, which was a one hour special, will be etched in my memory forever..I loved the episode when Tulsi killed Ansh,26th Decemeber 2005, and the episodes to follow…Loved the May 16th 2005 scene between Tulsi and Savita too ! I Still have the dialogues typed out…After the 2nd Generation leap, I love Lakshya. Though Mihir-Tulsi still reamin my favourites, dying to see them back together…
So that has been my journey with KYunki. IT is probably going to complete 2000 episodes soon, but i'll make sure i catch all of them. For Kyunki is one show, i can never, ever get tired of watching.
Lastly, Im sorry for boring you, and for testing your patience. My essay is over, u can wake up now 😛 😉
