Your character on Kyunkii?
I love it. It is a well-defined role and I jumped at the opportunity. I have to manage my dates but I am sure I can do that.
How did it come about? | ||
I was sitting at a coffee home quite unaware of Ekta's presence on the next table. Suddenly, she walked up to me and wanted to have a word with me. We started talking about everything apart from work. Then she suddenly told me that she had a slot free that could well suit me. Hearing the script, I was impressed.
Any special moments in the serial?
Yes. There have been many. Like my first shot with Hiten Tejwani. I was having a problem rehearsing my lines in Hindi and everything was gibberish. A very co-operative Hiten held his laughter till everyone else burst out at the hilarious sight of me speaking Hindi.
Your equation with other stars?
They are very cordial. I used to watch Kyunkii before I got busy with films. It is great sharing the set with Smriti Irani. She is a very talented actress and a good human being.
Is this a permanent shift from the big screen?
No. Not as yet. Cinema is my first love and will always remain so. Television is just a part time affair. For the moment though, I am pretty happy with the way things are going on with me and Kyunkii.
